Know By Your Love.............................~Wise

A poor man begged for the rich man's crumbs.
The rich man refused them and acted numb.
The beggar pleaded, polite, and sincere.
The rich man acted like he did not hear.
The beggar's voice made an unusual sound,
Then his body collapsed to the ground.
The rich man did not take notice of it,
And being disturbed wanted to throw a fit.
Even the dogs could see the man was sick,
And in their mercy gave comforting licks.
The beggar knew the death angel had come,
And his time on earth soon would be done.
The rich man raised not a single alarm,
The beggar then died in Abraham's arms,
The rich man died and to judgement went,
Then sent to hades for eternal torment.
In his eternal misery and pain,
The rich man saw the beggar again.
He was in comfort of heaven's paradise.
It was such pain to the rich man's eyes.
He begged him for a single water drop,
To touch his tongue for the misery to stop.
Father Abraham rebuked him and the plea,
And the rich man would never know mercy.
The rich man pleaded to send a message out,
That would prevent his relatives from doubt.
What is the story here for us to know?
We are judged by the love we all show.
With the Holiday season and what it brings,
Do not get caught in just earthly things.
Remember the greatest gift from above,
And show your apprecciation with your love.
