Something that highly irritates me, is anyone... and I mean ANYONE!... saying "I'm just not creative."

I don't believe it and I won't let it rest until I can convince you that you ARE, indeed, a creative being.

If you have any bit of imagination, you are creative.

If you have ever seen another person's point of view, you are creative.

If you know of more than one way to do something, you are creative.

If you can imagine a better life for yourself, you are creative.

If you can keep your checks from bouncing, you are creative.

Tell me how you use your creativity.

Now! Before I get irritated! :o)

"Imagination is more important that knowledge." ~Albert Einstein

Date: 12/2/2004 6:25:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 10245    I'm the same way, becky... I have dozens of rolls from when my first one was born. I seemed to be too busy to use much film on the second and had gone digital by the time #3 came around and now I go absolutely nuts with it. I just filled up 4 Cd's worth and made tons of room on my computer!
Date: 12/2/2004 6:43:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 10245    And look at that counter go up! Allowing for 2 hits each for Becky and myself, that's 9 people who left thinking they don't have anything to contribute here. That's sad. Try harder!
Date: 12/2/2004 6:48:00 PM  From Authorid: 24319    I love drawing and arts/crafts. So, I like to give my family memebers, like mom, dad, siblings (not my brother, he's a big bitt), grandparents, etc., the things I make and draw. It makes them happy and it makes me happy. I've been doing things like this since I was like in 5th grade.
Date: 12/2/2004 6:49:00 PM  From Authorid: 24319    ^^ Oh, and I am good at drawing and art/crafts, lol, so it it's like really crappy stuff. The stuff I give them they can actually keep out in the open for others to see.
Date: 12/2/2004 8:15:00 PM  From Authorid: 62383    I can pretty much do anything creative like art and such, but I love writing songs. I have become very good at it I guess... ( I get told these things) I can play lots of instruments.
Date: 12/3/2004 2:55:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 10245    20 more reads and only 2 more replies. This just makes me so very, very sad. Really. Creativity is the key to life, IMO. But... thanks to all of you for not leaving a reply that says "I'm not creative" I don't think I could have handled it and would have hunted you down and harrassed you for it.
Date: 12/3/2004 2:57:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 10245    Carrie and Mike... thanks for playing with me Use and enjoy your creativity in every way you know how, every day of your life. It'll keep you young. It'll keep your brain strong. And it provides a type of fulfillment that nothing else can, knowing that you can do something in a way that no one else can.
Date: 12/3/2004 3:44:00 AM  From Authorid: 1799    i'm an arts person: writing, drawing, singing, acting. I'm able to make up stories easily, and the words just flow out of me.
Date: 12/3/2004 6:07:00 AM  From Authorid: 2030    Merc is wickedly creative. Me I'm just wicked.
Date: 12/3/2004 6:22:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 10245    that comment shows there some creativity in your wickedness, o'wicked one
Date: 12/3/2004 6:23:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 10245    and for everyone that's been a good sport and played along... a great big **THANK YOU!** The rest of you can bite me! ;P
Date: 12/3/2004 7:41:00 AM  From Authorid: 59163    i think i shut out a large part of the creative section of my brain at a young age. an arm/hand injury made most art let alone even writing near impossible and art class was nothing but ridicule. its probably why i excel in computer logic. i respect others creativity though.
Date: 12/3/2004 8:03:00 AM  From Authorid: 59418    Hmmmm......well I can write poetry sometimes...and i get little bursts of artistic inspiration from time to time lol
Date: 12/3/2004 9:04:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 10245    I think that's the main problem here, Dagon... everyone thinks in terms of the arts. It take creative thought process just to survive a day and make it go semi-smoothly. I think anyone that can operate a computer must have something clicking inside their brains, and you do more than operate! Logic is it's own form of creativity, IMO.
Date: 3/26/2005 12:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 28946    This is an excellent post and a "must believe" read for me! Thanks for posting this and really am glad I came across it because I think alot of us get to feeling not so special, sometimes. hugs.
Date: 4/12/2005 9:46:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 10245    You are VERY special, Penny... don't forget it!
