Tell the presence to go to the light. Follow the light. Your house may have been where an old house stood that someone died in and that person is still earth bound for some reason. Ther are lots of reasons. As a collective group tell it to go to the light. It's lost. Genie1  |

You can always get a tape recorder and askit question as you record. That usually picks up things we can't hear. yuo an take pictures where the most unusual things happen and see if you catch anything. On the TV show Ghost Hunters they usually ask the ghosts to show themselves in the pictures when they are taking them. If you do that you might want to wait till everyone has left he house or they might think you are weird for talking to yourself. And seeing the shadows of people is scary at first. I saw someone in my brothers room and wouldn't go in there for a long time, but over the years I got used to seeing it. It's not a bad spirit it likes toplay more than anything! Also just cuz only you guys have lived there doesn't mean there wasn't any deaths on that land from before. and it could just be your dad!  |

The shadow your family sees and the footsteps you hear could very well beyour father. I wouldnt doubt it a bit. My papa died in my grandmas house and everytime I go over there, I hear walking and the sounds of a cane. My Grandmas sees my papa and sees his shadow. SO what you hear is probably your father, as for the dead cat, maybe he/she just missed you alot.   |

Doesn't seem to matter how new a house is, spirts can still somehow take residence there. Like Ghost Lover suggested, it might be the land itself.  |

Spirits or ghost are subject to the laws governing the physical world...to appear to us, the enity must draw energy from the area surrounding it. this can cause cold spots in the room. Measure the temp. where the ghost appears. Use a tape recorder to capture EVP's, ask it questions. Also I suggest turning off the main breaker in the electric panel. If you have a video cam, you can set it up in that area also, (provided you supply a small dim light source). Dont give up,if at first you capture nothing. Keep trying  |

if what you Say is true Enferno, then I can say t you that the house is 100% HAUNTED. I'm not telling you that because I want to scare you , you are old enough not to be frightened. but I'm saying this because I had the same thing, if you go and read my story "the Runners" it will indicate you the same thing , they wouldn't stop running until you do something I do something Holy. Seeing shadows is a very advanced level where they are sure that they are enjoying what you guys are downing. So I think the best thing is to IGNORE what ever you see in the house and you stop talking about it , this is from one side , and from an other side Never ever show that you are afraid , because one you start ignoring , they will difinately will blow wind on the fire , but later they will stop. the House Is very old and even if you guys where the only people who ever lived in the house , it has been decades now and your dad was there. Maybe his Companion is still there living with you guys. Well Thats most probably i guess. because seeing a shadow of a man not children or anything else could indicate this. i think that the house is not big house ,because you guys are able to hear things upstairs when yuo are downstairs and vise versa.But I conclude and say yes it is Haunted, but never say that when you guys are in the house.  |
