I worked at a skating rink for awhile .. From age 12-17 behind the concession counter. I DJed once, but I was told I wasn't allowed to talk ( not on the microphone, just to people outside the booth ) so I told them I was done with that .. I worked in the office of a Loan Officer. I helped process loans till I was 18. And during the same time till now, I have been working at a place that builds/sells homes. I quit the Loan place because the guy apparently ( *rolls eyes* ) didn't have enough funds to pay me .. So I left. |

(GPN till I take my boards, then I will be an LPN and I am also still going to college for my RN.) I think that I like the job that I have now the best as far as personal fulfillment..but as a deli clerk I had alot of fun. That is where I met my best friend and we were just silly all of the time!! |

I worked at Wal*Mart as a cashier and HATED it! They always forgot about giving me any breaks and when I needed a manager it took them like 20 minutes to get there to help and the customer would be real mad by then. I also worked and a grocery store as a bagger. That job was ok, but I was sexually harrassed and they didn't do anything to the guy because they believed him. I talked to a girl I was friends with that worked there after I quit and she said two other girls had been sexually harrassed after that and the store did nothing about that either! And I am currently working at a fast food called Whataburger and it's an ok job. Not a job I'd want to do if I had bills to pay though! |

I started out as a cashier when I was 14 and when my "career" with a local grocery store chain ended I was cashier, deli clerk, meat wrapper, produce clerk, customer service clerk, bookkeeper, back door receiver.......well okay, there isn't anything that I don't know when it come to a retail grocery business......I did it all when I worked for that company. I have been a check encoder for the banking industry. I have waitressed at several places, including banquet waitressing, and I have worked dietary in a nursing homw/rehab. I was mainly cafe at the dietary job, but every other weekend I cooked dinner for 75+ Alzheimer's residents and the staff that took care of them.....I think I'm missing a few but that is about the jist of it. |

Burger King is my first "official" job where I recieve an "official" paycheck and taxes are "officially" taken out. Before that, I'd had many (probably five or six) yard working jobs that were season. But they were tax-free and they paid more hourly then Burger King does. Too bad they were seasonal... - |
