I've spent nearly every Thanksgiving alone since I left home some 28 years ago. I have to work so I can not accept the standing invitation I have to spend the holiday with my best friend and her family. I do go home for Christmas, that is the most important holiday for my family. My leave has been approved the flight reservations made for next month. I live some 1000 miles from home so it is too far to go for casual visits. Still one wishes for past days with family today. ![]() |
