Im having problems with pages loading... I have cable modem, if that helps, and usually the pages load within a few seconds.. But tonight it has taken up to 5 minutes for a page to load IF it loads..  Hope this helps *huge hugs*  |

And one more thing I found that some pages were a little slow to load but nothing major. However when I went to PM someone the screen only half loaded and there was no message box on ly the top bit that said Mess :P Now I think that is it GhostChick |

Radman, I had problems too...It took forever to get the page downloaded and Im on dial-up. I was using the full address and then I went to myusm.com and the pages started loading a lot faster unless it was just the time I decided to try again and it happened to work..LOL.  |

I keep searching for this place called USM but the good citizens of the town tell me that no such place exists. I wonder if I have to slip someone a 20 to tell me where it is? Maybe there is a secret password. If I could only find USM; they say my life would surely change. Maybe I'm not meant to be in USM. Maybe I'm not the right age. I wonder what it looks like inside. ok...since Monday night (through www.unsolvedmysteries.com) I would try to get on and only the black background, followed by a few of the top buttons and sometimes the mall and Halloween gifs would ever show up...and S~L~O~W~L~Y at that. If by lucky break and chance it would actually download the whole page and for instance I saw I had a message, it would S~L~O~W~L~Y load the buttons...then my profile info...but NEVER the messages and if I was lucky enough to see the story list, and link into the story...only half, if any of the story would show up...or the comment box would be absent...I tell you, I will admit this was probably attempted 50+ times during the last day and a half. Then, last night, pretty late, I decided to try www.myusm.com...From that moment on...NO PROBLEMS!! Quick page downloads and normal USM effeciencies It's messed up when your key doesn't work and you're feelin' a lil' locked out in the cold    |

This is the fastest it has opened for me in the past 24 hours. I waited forever many times for it to get faster I deleted temp files, rebooted, reset modem, etc. Finally I gave up and decided I wasn't suppose to get in! Went to bed at 9 a.m. last night! A first! lol!  |

Dang LOL My puter is so infested with spy/ad stuff its ridiculous but the probs involved here are just, well, I have no word! LOL People are talking about a slow download so maybe its to do with the amount of stuff to download, maybe get rid of the fringe benefits. Some people have a huge archive that is added to daily (and even more than one per day). Of course, USM has grown immensley since I have joined and is still growing,so perhaps we need to take a totall new perspective.I'm not puter literate so I'm not gonna pretend to even know what to suggest! When I click to get here, sometimes it takes me right to the home page, sometimes, it takes so long to open up that I get the impression USM is down, and before I get that nasty page not found, or page loading error, I go some where else )-: USM is really loading slower for me than it used to, even for having dial up connection. If people with cable modems are having problems, imagine us with a dial up, Lol.. It just now took me 14 attempts to get here. I cannot even get on USM during peak internet hours at all, lately. Yet I have no problem with other places I go to, they load fine and rather fast. I am also getting warning screens still, I profiled you one of those (-: To send a comment to someone's post has been taking nearly a minute to complete, and sometimes, it will not even do that, and I lose all the info I typed out. I do nto answer in the psychic column right now because it takes too long, or I lose everything I type.. very frustrating..  |

It is not just the home page either, it is going to any page, the home page is the greatest challenge though, Lol.. but profiles and posts with many comments on them take the longest to load.. it is still doing it to me off and on.. some times, it will be as I am accustomed to it to be, then.. it pulls out the slow stuff again next time I go to load another page. |

Sorry forgot to say what it was at all heh. Gateway 504 error Gateway Timeout The following error occurred: [code=GATEWAY_TIMEOUT] A gateway timeout occurred. The server is unreachable. Retry the request. . Most likely a site reset at the worst possible time or just my very bad phone lines. sure you knew what a Gateway Timeout was but mayhaps these people have seen it as well |

There is one minor annoyance.. You know me I may not have left 10,000 Hey good story comments but I do like to leave really really long comments. Well it seems that it logs you out of USM after a time and it gets frustrating to have to hit the back button copy it all, log back on, then paste. |
