1 pound ground beef
1/2 cup onions, chopped
1 (20 ounce can) kidney beans, drained
2 teaspoons chili powder
1/4 cup honey
1 cup celery, diced
1 cup tomato puree
2 teaspoons salt
2 tablespoons wine vinegar, red or white is fine
Brown meat in a skillet until done. Drain. In a soup pot combine the meat, onions, kidney beans, chili powder, celery, tomato pure and salt. Stir together well. Add 1 cup water to soup and brin to a boil. Reduce heat and cover. Let simmer for 1 hour stirring occasionally. Stir in the vinegar and the honey. Serve in warmed bowls.
