The close elections are Bill Clintons fault!----r1

You kool-aid drinking Republicans will love this!

Here's my premise. We are having close, razor thin, elections, because of Clintons scandals in office.

In 2000, Al Gore was the vice president of a peace time president who had one of the greatest economies ever. Usually Vp's who seek election, after such circumstances, get elected with no problem. But for some reason Gore didn't! Why? Because he was associated with the moral failings of Bill Clinton!

People who might have voted for Gore, because they wanted to continue the success of the Clinton years, instead went toward the "moral man" Bush. The consequences? A divided electorate!

People think the electorate is divided because of social issues. I propose the electorate has been duped into thinking it is divided! Why? Because the cause of the original division in 2000, wasn't over agendas, it was over Gore's association with the moral failings of Clinton! So really the electorate to me, may not really be divided like we think. Assuming the original cause of the division was Clinton's moral issues, and not agenda issues of each respective party.

Date: 10/29/2004 12:06:00 PM  From Authorid: 25828    i don't think gore not getting elected had anything to do with clinton - he's an idiot and too uptight, too rigid - a friend of mine that knows him phrases it as a 'stuffed shirt'..
Date: 10/29/2004 1:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 62675    Maybe it was because more people liked Bush better and has nothing to do with Clinton. 4 Years ago, I did not hold Clinton's shortcomings against Gore. That had nothing to do with my vote for Bush.
Date: 10/29/2004 2:12:00 PM  From Authorid: 17081    I like Clinton. I like Bush. I hate John Kerry.
Date: 10/29/2004 2:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 1334    I dont think Gore not getting elected had anything to do with clinton. I think it is because he is weak. I was torn over who to vote for in that election but I tell you what after 9-11 I thank my lucky stars Gore wasnt in office as I think he would have crawled under a desk and stayed there. As For Clinton I would have voted for himn again so your reasoning in not voting for Gore because of Clinton wasnt my reason. Now between Kerry and Bush. I would rather not have either one of them in office but since they are my choices I have voted for Bush as I just couldnt find anything I like about Kerry however I I have trouble finding things I like about Bush but I can find a thing or two. ...
Date: 10/29/2004 9:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 15621    You know what.....you actually make some sense here....I dont agree with you but hey, there is some logic there....I like someone else said liked Clinton as a Prez....I didnt likes that he wasnt very Moral and didnt vote for him 2nd term but he was good for the country...but i dislike Mr kerry..just my 2 cents
Date: 10/30/2004 8:11:00 AM  From Authorid: 13729    I was a Clinton supporter and a Gore voter, but yes, I think your right, Gore had too much Clinton-stink on him at the time and it hurt him....
Date: 10/31/2004 4:09:00 AM  From Authorid: 22080    the electorate has to go with what the people in their state have to say usually...
Date: 10/31/2004 9:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 34487    Where in the heck do you come up with these wild theories? As for your comment of "You kool-aid drinking Republicans will love this!" Were you drinking SPIKED kool-aid when you dreamt this one up?
