Any premature babies you know of that have caught the RSV virus?........~Star Angel~

(Respiratory Syncytial Virus) My son was born premature at 26 weeks. I am concerned because RSV season is coming up and he goes to daycare. I was wondering if anyone knows of any premature babies that have caught this virus and how bad it really gets. I know everyone is different and the virus won't affect everyone the same way but I just wanted to know in general how it is in some cases of it. I'm really scared because I've heard some babies end up in the hospital on ventilators because of it.

Date: 10/19/2004 10:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 27735    My granddaughter had it as an infant. Yes, she was in the hospital for several weeks with it. But now, she is a healthy 12 year old. There is so much they can do.
