Hey guys...not sure if its really a poem cuz it doesnt rhyme =/

~Stripped~

She was stripped
Stripped of her identity
She was alone
Hiding behind a wall of lies and self doubt
The clock slowly ticking away, time flies by
The pain seemed to go on, her heart torn apart from the inside
She had no where to turn, no where to go
She kept her feelings inside, never wanting them to show
She was in denial, trapped in a spiral of never ending hurt
She struggled to be perfect, even though she knew she couldn't, she knew itwas impossible.
Every day, every minute, every second added to the pain of knowing she couldn't be anything she wanted to be.
The mirror shattered into a thousand pieces.
Pieces of broken glass scattered across the blood stained carpet.
Signifying her inner turmoil and loss of self identity.
She didn't know who she was anymore
Striving to be as perfect as the other girl, this wasn't her
A teenage girl trapped in a wave of jealousy and perfectionism
She hated herself, the way she looked, and everything that she didn't have the strength to stand up for.
She didnt want to be standing alone
What had she done to deserve this?
She kept herself locked up.
She was stripped of everything she used to be; her soul tattered like an old rag doll
Stripped of her pride, stripped of her freedome, stripped....of her identity.
