MOST SOCIALLY CONCERNED CONTRACT--------Comic actor Robin Williams is famous for demanding the most socially concerned film contracts on record: each one prohibits commercial tie-ins connected with alcohol, tabacco, weapons, toys of violence, soft drinks and junk food.

MOST LEADING ROLES---------John Wayne was in 153 films from The Drop Kick (1972) to The Shootist (1976). In all but 11, he played the lead.

MOST WEIGHT LOST FOR FILM APPEARANCES--------Gary Old's efforts to lose weight to play the punk star Sid Vicious in Sid And Nancy (1986) were so successful that the british actor ended up in the hospital, where he was treated for malnutrition.

MOST CONSECUTIVE $100 MILLION-GROSSING MOVIES-------The longest run of consecutive $100-million-grossing movies is five, by Tom Cruise. The actor's last five releases all topped the magic &100 million blockbuster mark: A Few Good Men (1992), The Firm (1993), Interview With The Vampire (1994), Mission Impossible (1996), and Jerry Maguire (1996).

HIGHEST SALARY--------Following Leonardo Di Caprio's successes in William Shakespeare's Romeo And Juliet (1996) and Titanic (1997), it is reported that his representatives are seeking a $21 million salary for his next movie.

MOST COSTLY LATE ATTENDANCE-------Eddie Murphy's habitual lateness allegedly cost the producers of Boomslang (1992) more than $1 million.

HIGHEST-PAID CHILD PERFORMERS-------Macaulay Culkin was pain $1 million for My Girl (1991), when he was 11 years old. He was subsequently paid $5 million plus 5% gross for Home Alone II: Lost In New York (1992) and a reported $8 million for Richie Rich (1994).

MOST SUCCESSFUL ACTOR-TURNED-POLITICAN-------Ronald Reagon, who starred in Bedtime For Bonzo in 1951, was elected governor of California in 1966 and 1970. He was elected to the first of his two terms as president of the United States in 1980.

BIGGEST BREACH OF CONTRACT AWARD--------In 1991, Kim Basinger pulled out of the movie Boxing Helena four weeks before the starting of filming, a move that resulted in her bankruptcy in 1993, when a jury ordered her to pay $8.1 million to movie's producer for breach of contract. A court of appeals subsequently threw out that ruling. In a subsequent compromise, Basinger paid an undisclosed amount to the producer.

HIGHEST PAID-ACTRESS--------With a current asking price of $12.5 million per movie, Demi Moore is one of the most highly paid actresses in the worls today. Born Demetria Guynes in 1962, Moore began her acting career at age of 20, when she became a regular on soap opera General Hospital. She now has 26 films under her belt. In 1987, she married fellow movie star Bruce Willis.

MOST $100-MILLION MOVIES (ACTRESS)-------Julia Roberts leads actresses in the catagory of most $100-million movies. Her five blockbusters are: Pretty Woman (1990), Sleeping With The Enemy (1991), Hook (1991), The Pelican Brief (1993), and My Best Friend's Wedding (1997).
