My nextdoor neighbor came over to visit my mom last night (our families are pretty close) and brought her daughter Jenny. Jenny is six now, and we get along very well. So, her mother asks me to go back to her house to get something for her. Jenny, naturally, wants to come with, so I bring her along. When we got outside, it was already dark, and she was a little scared.
She looked up at me with huge eyes and asked in an axious voice, "What if Wobbles come?"
I was exceedingly confused. "Wobbles?"
She gave me the most indignant look a six year old could give. "Yes, Wobbles."
"What are Wobbles?" intreated I.
"Wobbles!" she squeaked, her little voice getting high with frustration.
I thought for a moment. "Oh! Robbers!"
She shot me a dignified look. "Yes, Wobbles."
"Well," said I, "If they come, I'll have to hide behind you."
She looked at me, annoyed. "Well then, who will protect me?"
I grinned. "Well, I guess I will, if I haaave to."
Jenny gave me a serious look. "But you're only a woman!"
~LOL! I almost died.
