You stand there watching her crumble to pieces, and it's all your fault
You could say anything to her, you could tell her it'll be okay
Look what you've done to such a pretty girl, such an innocent girl
Passion was something you couldn't resist, what can you say?

Tell her you love her, what's the harm, it's just another lie
Don't let her memory kill her softly, don't let her hurt herself anymore
Tell her the truth, she's already dying, just tell her it was nothing
You stand there awkwardly, never having to deal with this before

She gave you her innocense, and you crush it with a word
Voluntarily handing you her heart, when she knew she shouldn't
Hoping maybe you'd be the one, to save her from this pain
And she lies there crying, repeating how she wouldn't

Let the pain get into her, though it's already done it's work
She's in pieces, she's a catastrophe, pick her up and reassemble
Negligant to what she felt, you really only thought of yourself
You could go and touch her, don't just watch her tremble

She's hoping you'll want her back, and you didn't mean what you said
Begging that today won't be the day she wasted, giving you her all
All she wants is for you to hold her, you could hold her, you know
Grab her hand tightly, don't let go, don't let her fall

And if you stand there watching her, she'll surely die embarrassed
Wishing she hadn't given it all away, for just another memory
Heart break tears her soul apart, all she wants is you to love her....
I should know what she wants....That girl was once me....
