Little Kiddies. . . . . . . -Breathing Body

Wow......kids. What a privilege it is to work with them! Their little minds are much bigger than they seem. They are like clay, and you can help mold them into something great! The past 3 months have been so rewarding for me because I get to work with kids. I'm in a class called Early Childhood Education, I took the first one last year where we basically learned all about children, their development, how their little minds work and many other things. After this class I got two certificates for the completion of a Child Care Worker and Child Care Teacher Aide, we had to complete so many hours to get it. I loved that class so this year I signed up for ECE II, now we are getting to take everything we learned and put it into good use. Every monday and tuesday I get to go over to a primary school (which is a small walk away) and help two teachers who are the most patient and loving women i've ever met. I was assigned to a Pre-k class, where I help teach kids of ages 3, 4 and 5. Let me tell you, they are adorable! It's great to walk in the class and see that they are able to do some of the same things I taught them. Usually we work on spelling their names, working with colors, playing games with the alphabet and little art projects. I absolutely love working with them..its like they've all won my heart!! While most of the people in my class complain about working over at the primary school, I can't wait to spend time there. I have actually arranged with my teacher for an extra day so that I can be there on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednsdays. I never realized how great you can feel after working with these children...every child is so special. I've always wanted to be a nurse but after working with these kids I so badly want to be in a profession where I can work with them....maybe I could be a teacher or better yet a pediatric nurse, there are many possibilities. Well, there isn't much to this post....I just wanted to tell you all about my experience and ask....Have you ever worked with kids? Was it rewarding for you? I would love ANY input. :) Thanks.
