The night air was cold and all that could be seen was your breath in front of you, like a mist guiding you along. The air was thick and full of fear and excitement. The night remained quiet and all that could be heard was the rustling of leaves under your feet. There were four boys walking along a path through the woods making their way toward their destination.
There was Tommy, a tall thin boy with sandy blonde hair and green emerald-like eyes. He was what they called, the leader of the group. He showed little fear and often was the first to lead the others. Then there was Jeremy and Mike who were brothers. Both had dark hair and eyes. Then there was Anthony. Anthony had dark hair and dark eyes and was a bit smaller then the other boys. He was also very quiet.
Anthony looked up during their walk through the woods and noticed it was a full moon. He was always the one to notice little things like that, always the one to see or hear things first. The boys were heading toward what they heard was an ancient cemetery. There was a path through the woods that would lead them to the front gate of the cemetery. After they arrived they planned on staying the night and seeing if they could find any evidence of hauntings or ghosts.
It was the weekend of Halloween. They had told their parents they were camping in the woods that night, for it was forbidden to enter the cemetery. In their town the cemetery had become history and attracted many tourists, though no one was ever allowed to go in after dark. There were statues of old and tombs with no names on them, only dates ranging between 1700- 1850. The statues were of figures, whether they be angels or otherwise, they had a chilling effect on people who stared at them, and touched them. What was more chilling about the cemetery was in the middle of the land was an abandoned house. All the furniture and clothes still there, as if waiting for the person to return home.
"I think we are lost," Tommy said looking around at the darkness. All the trees looked the same by now and only the light from their flashlights guided them.
"Let's set up camp here for the night and we'll start for the gate early in the morning," Tommy said as the rest found a spot and sat down.
They began gathering sticks to make a fire as Jeremy and Mike put up the tent. The boys finished the tent and after they ate were heading for bed. Suddenly a cold and howling wind came through the woods and it began to thunder and lightening out. The rain came pouring down and the boys ran into the tent to stay dry. You could feel the fear growing. Suddenly the wind ceased and the woods were silent. The flashlight the boys used for their light in the tent went out. And suddenly they heard it, laughter. A loud and evil laughter filled the woods. Between the laughter they could hear the voice of another saying.... "Get out" ....
