This shows that making mistakes do pay off. LOL! Now she gets some extra money. |

Well, it's not really her responsibility to make sure everything is spelled correctly. I'm sure she presented them with plenty of concept sketches and they must have watched her do the work, so yeah, they should pay her to correct the work. |

Man! You'd expect better in a library. She was right they would of had several opportunities to catch her mistakes! Ghost-Chick |

Because Ms. Alquilar received money for her work, she is a professional. As such, she should correct the mistakes at her expense. We would expect no less from any other professional that should know what they are doing: a house-builder should know how to install a window; a mechanic should know how to change oil; a doctor, when considering an amputation, should know the difference between the left leg and the right leg. If Ms. Alquilar still refuses to correct her mistakes, the library should leave the mural as it is, with a sign telling all interested viewers the name of the artist that was too lazy to check her spelling. She'll get to keep her $40,000, but I can't anyone else hiring her, unless the contract specifies "no words." She'll win the battle and lose the war. |

Well both parties are at fault. She should check her work. But it is easy to miss when you know what it is supposed to read. Pity it wasn't picked up before finishing. But I guess she should accept responsibility and fix the errors. |
