Though not as famous as the Titanic, the Swedish warship Wasa has its own claim to fame.
The ship was built in 1628 to be the flagship of the Swedish navy, and had 64 bronze guns.
It set sail amid much fanfare, and then capsized and sank only a couple of hours into its maiden voyage, while still in Stockholm harbor.
The guns were recovered in teh 1600's with the use of a diving bell.
In 1961 the ship itself was raised and restored.
It is now one of Sweden's most popular tourist attractions. You can join Unsolved Mysteries and post your own mysteries or interesting stories for the world to read and respond to Click hereScroll all the way down to read replies.Show all stories by Author: 23075 ( Click here )
