I think the idea behind believing that these ghosts are demons and stuff is that a demon will pretend tto be your love one to suck you in and make you trust them and believe in them and therefor it is a sin because the bible siad not to believe in ghosts or something. lol Not that that made any sense I know what im talking bout lol. Things can get really complicated in a discussion such as this. I believe occasionally loved ones are able to reach beyond the grave and intervene in situations here on this earth. I do not, however believe in trying to communicate with the dead because it is forbidden in the Bible. I also believe in the intervention of angels at times, but angels are only able to do God's bidding...they cannot and do not act on their own. Demons are a different set of creatures. They can transform into anything and they like to mimiic human beings both living and dead. They are tricksters and like to put on little shows at times to frighten and confuse humans. They have a lot of hatred for us and wish only our eternal destruction. The challenge is to recognize which is which. If somebody's life is saved it could be a loved one, could be an angel. Sometimes it's hard to tell..but remember that God is ultimately in charge and it is He that should receive the thanks in a situation like that. He will in turn thank his agent who administered the help, whoever it may be.  |

Growing up we had a family member that was living a lifestyle that was leading to a bad end,one evening in her apartment she saw my deceased grandparents coming telling them to get stop the way she was living,she had a life to live and family that loved her,I have no doubt in my mind that was them coming to straighten that life out and get her back on track..our parish priest tried to tell us it was the devil at work..and I simply said if that is the case why would he want her to change ? wouldn't he would want her to continue and destroy her life? he had no real answer for me. Also after I lost my grandmother I had both grandparents come into my room and put their hands on my shoulders to comfort me,no demon there either in my opinion,why would they want to comfort a grieving child,wouldn't they enjoy my suffering ? not everything can be chalked up as being a demon influence.  |

Yes they can get messages across. Don't ask me how, I guess it's a thing we'll have to wait to find out till we pass on ourselves. I personally don't believe in the term 'demon', despared ghost perhaps, but demon ?  |

I don't know why they would give you comfort unless like ghost chick said it was to suck you in Medusa, whatever that means. And your other example, I can't see a demon trying to turn someone on the right path. Thanks for the comment. I don't know Belgian, isn't there a difference between a demon and a despaired ghost? Unless people don't believe in demons, then it doesn't really matter what term is used. |

I don't see what they could have sucked me or my family member in to. Sounds like the priest telling us kids at mass that if we watched too many horror films we were asking for possession. I have always had an open mind about this subject and I can't say my mind at that young age was swayed to "evil" at any point. |
