Looking out across the meadow, taia tightened her grip on her sword as she kneeled in the moss and leaves on the ground. Her deep green eyes shifted over the underbrush that ran along the other side of the meadow and waited for him to make a mistake and show himself. The wind blew through the leaves of the trees above her, making the branches sway to the power of the air and her eyebrow twitched upward as there was a slight movement behind her. Taia whirled and caught clay as he threw himself at her. She scowled at the little boy and not so gently dropped him to the ground as he made an indignant noise. Stupid boy she thought, following me like this, to play games! She looked back over the meadow but the evil had dissipated and the darkness left, she knew he had gone. “Curses upon his head!” she said aloud to herself and to the little boy now at her feet, playing in the leaves, still angry but dutiful nonetheless she picked up clay and toted him with her, bracing him on her hip. Taia walked slowly back toward the encampment, how had clay been able to follow her? She wondered, no matter the damage was done, at least he was becoming a good tracker. Taia rounded the bend in the woods and came to the clearing where her people had set up camp recently, walking over to her sister’s tent she threw aside the flap and entered. “Here Lana, your trouble maker of a son has followed me and ruined my hunt!” handing clay over to her sister taia ran a hand through the little boys hair “at least he’s becoming a good tracker” she said to her sister “oh taia I am so sorry, he’s just been getting out of my sight so quickly lately! I didn’t mean for this to happen”. Taia sighed and lifted a shoulder, then dropped it quickly in a dismissive way. “Oh well no real harm done, just make sure he stays out of trouble.” Taia said before letting herself out of lanas tent. As she walked across the camp she looked at her people spread out across the clearing, busy at there daily tasks, cleaning, cooking and her warriors cleaning there Armour and swords and practicing there techniques with bows and swordplay. Taia smiled to herself as she crossed over to her tent, set away from the others, she looked behind her once before lifting up the flap for a door and walking into her living area. She took her sword off her back and leaned it against her bed, always at close reach and removed all but one of her hidden daggers on her person, taking off all but her under shift she sat cross legged in the middle of her living area and closed her eyes, breathing in deep and meditating on what had happened today.
