i am guessing she had dye in her hair already.... here is what happened, there is two types of hair there is dyed hair and virgin hair.... virgin hair has never seen dye and it more sensitive to chemicals where chemically treated hair takes longer to absorb and effect... i am guessing what happened is you did a full head dye at once and the longer areas what did have previous dye(even if it was a wash out dye) didnt absorb the bleaching as fast as the virgin hair(aka the roots what never had dye on them before) and they went alot lighter... unfortunately the only way to fix it is to rebleach the lower half what turned out darker though i suggest a professional do this messing with blondes can cause some serious damage to a persons hair... i hope i made some sense... next time put the dye only on the pre-dyed hair for a set amount of time(see instructions in box) then do the roots... it's harder but it will give a more even effect... goodluck! |

Hiya Kronk! I hope you've been well. I made a typo up there, I meant the ends came out orange...I think I inhaled a little to much bleach. LOL |

Hi Midnightly, You guessed right. Sweet Vixen has been dying her hair most of the summer. She likes playing around with different colors. She did a really nice red color and had that for a few weeks and then dyed her hair back to a dark brown. It still had a red tint to it so that's what I'm thinking caused the orange color. A salon would be nice to go to but we don't have enough money for something like that. Thank you for your advice, you helped alot! -lemon |

Hey midnightly sweet vixen here I just colored my hair less than two weeks or so ago and the hair that turned blonde was not full on virgin hair thats why i'm confused about the change. anywho I bought the bleaching stuff at a salon store so i'm using pro quality stuff I kinda knew this would happen being that my hair is so dark and colored many many times. However I am wondering can I bleach it again in 24 hours?? Love and hugs, |

if you bleach it again you will be one big frizz ball and i dont think you want that, not fully virgin is still virgin, if it has not had a dye product on it(just roots for example) it will still take the dye alot faster then dyed hair.. the more you dye your hair the more damaged it can become and the longer it will take to absorb the colour(make sense?) and even if it's a professional high quality stuff it will still strip your hair and cause damage(there is no way to dye your hair that wont cause damage, and ones that lighten cause more damage then ones that darken) my best suggestion is to dye it a neutral colour something that wont strip your hair and leave it alone for awhile give it a hair repair product or three(suggest st ives hair repair that stuff really helps!) lay off the dye let your hair grow out cut off the highly damaged before you start jumping into the dye again.. think of it this way, when you wash your white shirt with bleach many times it will cause your shirt to breakdown and weaken the fabric, this is the same thing what lightening your hair is doing to your hair.... i'm sorry to take all the fun outta changing haircolours |

also dye is almost like a stain for your hair... have you ever spilt something and can't get it up?? no matter what you try? that's sorta what the dye has done/will do....lets pick an example you might understand.. have you ever spilt nailpolish on a shirt(or hairdye on the carpet on an old towel) and no matter what you try and how you clean it you just cant get it up that's basically what the dye does to your hair only way to get rid of it is to let it grow out |

Hey midnightly I have this stuff called Last call it's by the company beyond the zone it's for battered and abused hair. It's a hair mask that replenishes the straw effect. and odd as it may sound my hair is really solf and managable to just have been bleached. I know in beauty school they said that it was a givin sometimes to re bleach some hair do to the darkness and added color already on the hair as we have talked about before but I do remember them telling me to wait 24 hrs b4 doing it. who knows I do have to lay off the color and more than likely will just get a toner tomorrow to make it as close to all one color as i can get it lol. thanks for all the help. love and hugs |

you can re-dye it in a week or so. i started doing my hair blonde about a year ago, and i have to do just the roots every few weeks. its a little dry but not all frizzy. i put it on then wash it out and see how the color came in. if it is too orange i do it again up to 3 times in a night. although i wouldnt recommend that. you can see on LSRs site how i went from brown to blonde. message if you have any questions. |

You should try a dye with a DRABBER. The drabber takes out the red or orange tint in the hair. I would only do the roots again though, since those are probably where the orange is. Usually you have to go to a place like Sally Beauty Supply to buy drabbers, they're are a professional product. |
