Calcium

This is something of a joke (Welcome back to me eh haha) and its something thats not. Whether you have Calcium deposits in your hands from typing too much (Ooo oo like me) or you have them behind your ears making you fall down alot ( Ooo Ooo like me) Calcium seems to be a very big problem. I do not need to search to find that out. Do not need to infringe on peoples copyrights (For the greater good of man of course) to know this. Almost any type of heart problem and some blood problems is related somehow to it. (And actually not due to not taking enough of it or even absorbing it) Taking "too much" calcium has killed millions and that I do not need to search eighther. Next time you drink your milk look on the label for vitamin D. Now see how much of it to absorb the calcium there is in it (Pay not any attention to how much vitamin D you should take in a day. Thats meaningless. Doesn't tell you how much calcium it will help absorb) Now look for magnesium (Just as equally important if not more) Why is there no magnesium? None. Remember when you take some tums that Calcium also needs very acidic environments ( and that you could of felt better from your acid reflux by say eating an orange being that its only making you feel bad because you do not have enough acid hence anti acids and thier purpose of eliminating your acid and your money so your stomach will fill it back up. The acid that is. Not your wallet) Why do they put Calcium in an Anti acid pill? What use does it serve besides making the people buy it lol.. Why is calcium so important to people? Have they done thier homework at all what unabsorbed and too much calcium can cause? Yet more and more things contain it now like its good..Even if you go to http://vm.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/foodlab.html where they are supposed to tell you what can and cannot harm you they do not list calcium. They go on to tell you that 1000 mg of calcium is what your dv is (Though for different people it really is different not just women of any stage) What they do not mention is how much vitamin D and Magneseum you should take with that supposed DV. (Hint Daily Value really only equals for the most part what you can consume without killing yourself) Anyway thats all for today.

Date: 9/25/2004 9:25:00 PM  From Authorid: 28363    "knocks on door" - This Is The Calcium Police, and YOU are under arrest. Put a gag order on this guy before they get the information. This was brought to by the supplimants division of the USDA
Date: 9/25/2004 9:25:00 PM  From Authorid: 62893    Very interesting indeed! I did not know that. But wow. Thank goodness I don't like milk.Misty
Date: 9/25/2004 9:26:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4309    Now if anyone has any problems with this story read the name of the website. Look at how long I have been here. If this was a debate it would be there. If this was a discussion it would be there. I do not want to hear what you know from television nor any supposed expertise you have in the matter. Sadly enough I have actually gone through microbiolgy and have gone through the classes required to be a chef knowing what nutrients are in what and how they effect you. If your a "doctor" more power to you in life but until you do an unbiased study about this subject and give me the information do not spout to me what you have learned from a text book or sadly TV. (Once again I did not this was not discussion but if you have credible information im all for it Peace2U
Date: 9/25/2004 9:34:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4309    Not knowing something I can handle. Someone that supposedly knows something (And I know they know nothing but really love to argue) that troubles me Luv ya all.
Date: 9/25/2004 9:40:00 PM  From Authorid: 62445    I'm no expert but anyone should know too much of a good thing can really be bad.Thanx for the info.~Charmlit
Date: 9/25/2004 9:44:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4309    ps. Anyone taking anti acid pills for normal acid reflux. STOP. There are other ways lolz. Stop wasting money. The other ways will actually stop you from having acid reflux anyway for the most part.
Date: 9/25/2004 9:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 21435    About the only meaningful thing that I can add is that I consume plenty antacid pills and that your information seemed credible. Hello, Wicked Wiley Write on.....
Date: 9/25/2004 9:50:00 PM  From Authorid: 62893    Sorry wicked, I don't understand why you posted it if you did not want any replies.
Date: 9/25/2004 10:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 28363    Relax Wiley, and welcome back. Look at your first sentence, sounds like a joke, and look at the way you presented your information. Of course over-dosing on calcium is not good, and I wish you could have made your point better. Hope you didn't think I was serious. There is no such thing as the calcium police
Date: 9/25/2004 11:09:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4309    Its a joke in the form I usually bash the world. (Its also meant to draw out silly comments if you didnt want replys then why post etc) I never said I didn't want replys. Said I did not want as matter of factly replies that are unbased Peace2U
Date: 9/25/2004 11:11:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4309    Not that misty is my target hehe
Date: 9/25/2004 11:13:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4309    Anyway I could of listed a million and one things to make my point (Calcium bad. Very very bad. Specially without vitamin D and Magnesium)but it was only a joke "conspiracy" after all
Date: 9/25/2004 11:15:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4309    Kronk try other things that are acidic first before the tums heh. Also ask your doctor about enzymes for the stomach that aid digestion. That will actually fix the reflux. Better then buying some chalky tabs every week when you know your going to eat
Date: 9/25/2004 11:16:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4309    PS. I think there actually should be some kind of control on Calcium joke or not.
Date: 9/25/2004 11:32:00 PM  From Authorid: 28363    Perfect, I understand better now.. Thanks for the information about the enzymes, and other nutrients required to assist with calcium.
Date: 9/25/2004 11:39:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4309    Mayhaps thier should be calcium police then with all the information... hmmmm.. Hehe with banner adds it could support itself =P
Date: 9/26/2004 1:16:00 AM  From Authorid: 3835    Welcome back Wiley (-: Glad to see you struttin' around the hallways again!!
Date: 9/26/2004 1:28:00 AM  From Authorid: 62367    Everything has to be in balance. Thanks for the reminder that you may take calcium in various ways but you need other vitamins and minerals too. This also goes for other nutrients like iron too. Some people take mega doses of different vitamins and live to regret it. I take 2 Tums for calcium, 1 1000mg B12, and 2 Childrens Centrum per day on orders from a doctor and a nutritionist because I have had bariactric surgery. I will do this for the rest of my life because I can not absorb nutrients like I used too.
Date: 9/26/2004 1:50:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4309    Im going to tell you get rid of the centrum at least. Won't even disolved in water let alone your stomach. Find some multi vitamins that will dissolve in water and you got yourself some vitamins ^^
Date: 9/26/2004 1:54:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4309    Im more of staggering the halls. hehe. Kind of feel unballanced and nauseas not to mention still have killer headaches but I must be alot better right now because I could turn the computer on =P I hope to be around more, George still needs to find my hat.
Date: 9/26/2004 11:08:00 AM  From Authorid: 42259    Totally off the subject here,I've got pernicous anaemia and I'm taking these huge hurking vitamins that don't dissolve in anything.Interesting post, although I don't think I have to worry about it.Anything with calcium makes me feel sick so I just stay away from the stuff.
Date: 9/26/2004 12:47:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4309    What vitamins do you take ? They should be able to dissolve in water in under 20 minutes or they are worthless.
Date: 9/27/2004 8:19:00 AM  From Authorid: 16671    YEP calicum or too much is nasty. I have kidney stones all the time, thank God I was allergic to milk or it would be worse. I have a overload of calicum in my body as does my son bob. He too was allergic to milk.
Date: 9/27/2004 9:36:00 AM  From Authorid: 42259    They're called Vi-Top, but I don't think I've ever left them in water 20 minutes so maybe they're okay.
Date: 9/27/2004 11:34:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4309    I will check them out in a bit but deffeninetly check them with water. All things vitamin or headache medicine should always be checked for actually being soluble. They would stop selling centrum if people knew that basically. The FDA doesn't care one bit till one to many cases of someone commiting suicide hits the local newspaper. Though it is funny how what happens (This national database they are working on) is ate up by the people who watch TV like its a solution (When there should not be one in the first place and It should not at all effect people going to JAIL for it). This database will be attacked because all it is is the supposed possitive clinical trial information but they still do not have to tell you that 50 out of 70 of the people they paid 20 dollars to take said drug turned purple heh. Nor will they. Opps.. Rant.... Anyway make sure it dissolves. Otherwise ask for something that does (See what fun that causes)
Date: 9/28/2004 12:41:00 PM  From Authorid: 42259    Have people commited suicide from centrum or are you talking about pills in general?
Date: 9/28/2004 9:46:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4309    As far as suicide goes Im talking about supposed anti depresants but I am sure if in a clinical trial for centrum they would leave that out . Any vitamins test them. Thats all I can say. Centrum one of the most unsoluble vitamin you can ever take. You can throw it in the toilet and the septic man will find them there months if not longer later.
Date: 9/29/2004 5:35:00 AM  From Authorid: 42259    Lol,well...I put my vitamin in a glass of water overnight and the next day it was incredibly bloated but not dissolved.Really gross-looking.
Date: 9/29/2004 8:30:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4309    Find out what vitamins are supposed to be in your vitamin and find the one that will dissolve. Its not doing a thing for you Peace2U
Date: 11/25/2004 9:57:00 AM  From Authorid: 62220    even tho a lot of calcium causes harm, you can't deny we need it..or else we wouldn't be told about what causes osteoporosis--NOT ENOUGH MILK OR CALCIUM! Too much of anything can hurt you, even water. You need to have a balance of everything. So even if you don't like milk or calcium, your body needs it. Do research on the good things too, instead of only the bad things about calcium.
Date: 11/29/2004 1:39:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4309    I do.. Store bought milk is worse then Trans fat and causes scaring of your arteries because the way its prepared. Not only do you lose living enzymes with Pastuerization but Homgenization (The shaking of the molecules so the cream sticks with the milk so it doesn't go bad on store shelves at higher temperatures to save on electricity) causes scaring of your arteries just like trans fats which is the real reason why cholesterol clogs them. (You could have low or high cholesterol and be fine. Remember its all about the money every fad food product out there or medicine to lower anything). Store bought Milk itself doesn't even have sufficient magneseum (Because you need it) to use the vitamin D and Calcium which become useless without it. The magical number for percent of daily values is bogus (They came up with it out of thin air with no actual research) and its different anyway for every single person (Another thing they do not mention) and the research actually that is needed isn't the research that calcium is good for you because it is needed in almost every bodily fuction. Why the FDA took all of coral calcium's profits because it made people better being one of the best sources of calcium there is. The research needed is how much not to take where it starts causing problems and a better look at least into how much should be tooken minimum for every type of person (Woman,Man, Tall, Short, Big, Thin,Race, etc.). Basically anything can be bad for you in larger quatities then should be in your body (Especially the poisons they put in all foods at supermarkets. Why I shop all natural organic products. ) The reason why they put calcium in simple things like Tums is to trick you to buy it and make you worse off anyway. You could not possibly absorb the calcium. It needs an acidic environment, Vitamin D, and magnesium.
Date: 11/29/2004 2:05:00 PM  From Authorid: 17560    Very interesting.....have you ever read that book "what they don't want you to know" (something like that) about all the drugs people are taking that are actually hurting people instead of helping them? It's an infomercial on earlier in the day and the guy really makes alot of sense. I would love to read it...Great post!
Date: 11/29/2004 6:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 62220    ohhhhhkaayyyyy..but you still need calcium.
Date: 12/1/2004 3:09:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4309    Actually Im going to be putting that book up most likely (I read tons of books including alot of the books he mentions to read in that book. Kevin being a speed reading mega memory guru has read so many books that its staggering) U.S.C. 17 freedom of use allows me such rights (Just like the people who are publishing medical journals online that the publishers are crying to give them 6 months on at least so they can make blood money because lets face it if the information can save lives 6 months will be basically murdering those people) As long as its educational. I can post it past copyrights.

Date: 12/1/2004 3:24:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4309    Seems like that site is down so here is another. http://www.copyright.gov/title17/92chap1.html

§ 107. Limitations on exclusive rights: Fair use38
Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 106 and 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright. In determining whether the use made of a work in any particular case is a fair use the factors to be considered shall include —

(1) the purpose and character of the use, including whether such use is of a commercial nature or is for nonprofit educational purposes;

(2) the nature of the copyrighted work;

(3) the amount and substantiality of the portion used in relation to the copyrighted work as a whole; and

(4) the effect of the use upon the potential market for or value of the copyrighted work.

The fact that a work is unpublished shall not itself bar a finding of fair use if such finding is made upon consideration of all the above factors.

Date: 12/1/2004 3:26:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 4309    Also its not about whether you need the calcium its how they deliver it to you, how much you should actually take (Because lets face it just like the food pyramid being made up by big dairy and being completely bogus with no research in it whatsoever the DV % is the same way)
Date: 12/11/2004 6:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 61901    I guess to much of anything can kill you. I would much rather kill myself with BBQ. Thanks for this interesting post.
