I love this recipe! I'm in cooking class at school and my teacher gave us this recipe my freshman year of High School. I plan on making it tonight. I can't wait to eat it!! LOL!!

3 tablespoons butter or margarine 3 tablespoons flour 1 1/2 cups milk 1 cup shredded sharp cheese 1 cup diced cooked ham 2 1/2 cups cooked sliced potatoes 1 tablespoon parsley

1. In a top of a double boiler, melt 3 tablespoon butter 2. Stir in flour until smooth 3. Gradually add milk and coo, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and bubbles 4. Add cheese. Cook and stir constantly until cheese melts 5. Gently stir in ham and 2 cups of potatoes 6. Pour into casserole dish 7. Arrange remaining potatoes on top of casserole 8. Melt remaining butter and brush on top of potatoes sprinkle with parsley 9. Bake in oven (350) for 20 minutes until casserole is hot and bubbly

NOTE: I put as much potatoes, ham and cheese I want in the recipe and it comes out wonderful. Play around with the recipe. You don't really have to measure out potatoes, ham or cheese. Butter is much better than maragine but you can decide what you like better. I hope you enjoy the recipe! I sure do!!
