Last year after I got back from a trip I went through about 6 weeks of feeling bad. I felt sick to my stomach all day long and after I would manage to eat something, I would have diarrea afterwards. Also ran a low grade fever off and on. I lost about 14 pounds. I didn't go to the doctor because I kept thinking it would go away, which it did eventually. I read later the symptoms of Hepatitus A and that is what I think I had, probably picked it up while eating out. In fact, I looked up a map at the CDC website and there was a cluster of HEP A in a part of Oklahoma I happened to travel through and ate at a subway along the way...So have your doc test you for that if he hasn't already.  |

Thanks Kelly, so far over 20 lbs lost in a matter of 2 weeks. 7 in 2 days. My symptoms are like yours, after eating anything, yup. But this horrible pain and sickness rip through me for about 2 hours twice a day. Feels like I have been starving myself. My entire abdomen just hurts weird, and I feel vibrations in my intestines like any other feeling I have ever had. This is not cool, but I'm sure we will figure it out in time. I just hate this sickness feeling. After it's gone, I feel so worn out like I just chased a train at full speed for 2 hours. Unreal.  |

wow you really have to check out some other doctors also. Try seeing 2 more different docs. I would make the Apointments now. Something is very wrong if you are loosing that much weight. Its better to get alot of opions. dont sit on this it could be very serious. have them run all kinds of blood work and everything. i will keep you in my prayers

OKAY maybe i should have read the comments before posting. OMG I just got back from Punta Cana and while I was there I was very very very sck for one day I mean I could have killed myself thats how bad it was now its been a couple weeks since I came back and Im having some syptoms like that. My stomache always Hurts and I get these weird vibes it almost feels like a kicking but no im not pregnant I cant be anyway. No hankie pankie here. but I havent been lossing alot of weight but I know the stomache pains are unbarable sometimes. maybe I should get checked out also. |

Independant, I would if I were you. The weight loss just started AFTER the pain. The weight loss didn't start right away at all. The pain came first. |

My step sister is going thru the same thing, its been going on for about 2 years now and they dont know why. She has lost so much weight its sickning. She looks like a skeleton with skin. I hope they figure out whats wrong with you soon.  |

Well, I can't say I had severe pain like you do, it was mostly just a general feeling of sickness and exhaustion--and stupid me never went to the doctor, something for which I'm famous for (famous in my family anyways..I had seizures for several months at the end of my last pregnancy before I told the doctor). I hope the doctor finds something soon, losing 20 pounds in such a short period of time is pretty serious. |
