I only comment if I have something meaningful to say...I'd rather leave comments that have meaning and are special to me, then just any old thing. A lot of people can say meaningful things for each post, but I can't because sometimes I can't relate to the story at all.  |

Also, I think that it counts as one view when you first view a story and then as another after you submit your comment and the page refreshes...I don't know that for sure, but that's what I've always thought. Probably wrong though, lol. |

I too comment on the stuff I read.

Personally if I had a choice to read 100 stories in a day with no comments or 10 in a day with comments, I'd take the 10. Because I want to let as many people as possible know how I feel about there work and that I appriciate the time they took to write it and share it with me. Don't you all click that check replies button the first thing when you log on? I know I do. I love reading what everyone has to say, don't you? |

I usually dont even click on the story unless the title strikes me as interesting, then more often then not I will respond, but sometimes I'll click on and its just some stuff that really doesn't interest me such as I'm so mad at my boyfriend, la lalallala, LOL. But as I say usually I try to leave something.  |

i guess you could say this was allready my mission. i love to read the posts here. i dont always comment. sometimes i just dont know what to say , or dont connect with what someone wrote. but i do try to reply to as many posts as i can. not only do i enjoy it. but i know it makes some people feel good to get some more comments and input on their writings.   |

I'm with you spooky. I always comment unless I just don't feel it. I usually don't like to say anything negative. I'm just going to start reading and commenting more and i was hoping to incourage others to do the same.

I agree that it is really nice to get comments, BUT I would rather have comments that actually have something to say. Why post just to say, "I don't know, or I don't do that, so i can't help". I always try and post to the stories and everything but sometimes its hard because I am in work. I was begining to think my posts were really corny or that i didnt have any usm friends but I guess this happens to alot of people. I barley get any feedback on my posts. it does upset me sometimes I will do this mission too. comment on as many posts as I can or untill my boss walks in. lol Thanks for this great post you made. No one is saying to just leave some crappy comment just to be leaving one. But chances are if you took the time to read it you most likely have an opinion about it, so why not share that with the author, if you have the time. I think they would really apriciate it. I think we all value one another here right? But if you don't ever tell any one you care then how will they know? |

Lol Dark crow. Thats okay you would just be like the other 227 people who did'nt. A good example; There have been 255 veiws on this post with 28 replies. Even if all of those people veiwed the same post 4 times that still leaves 133 people who did'nt comment. Again thats assuming each of the 28 people who posted veiwed this 4 times. |

eh, usually if i don't comment it is because i have nothing to say or i have something bitter to say... and even though often times, i do speak my mind (nice or not) sometimes i think it would create more peace if i just didn't say anything at all..... and i'd rather people give me thoughtful comments than "cool post".  |

The posts used to get a lot more responses because we let non-members respond until it was way too much work monitoring them. The counts reflect non-member viewing also and they can't respond. We need more members, so tell your friends and family.. It's free. |
