Don't Ever Do This To Your Dog *PunkStarChik*

Hey peoples!! *waves*

What's up?? Not too much here! Been pretty busy with the wedding getting closer each day. Only 15 more days! Ahh!! Almost 14 days within an hour! Ahhh!!

Anyways, back to the post. This is a sad story that happened with my Aunt's dog about a week ago and I urge people not to do the same thing with their dog or any other pets.

My Aunt Val was driving with her dog KiChi (key-che) and her boyfriend on the highway and they decided to stop at a rest stop. So they took a break from driving and hung around the rest area for a while. My Aunt Val tied up KiChi to the back bumper of her car while her and her boyfriend went to the bathroom.

Some reason, they both got into a really big arguement that lasted for a few moments and it continued as they got back into the car. They started out to the highway, still argueing and her boyfriend asked "Why did you leave your dog at the rest stop?" and she said "I didn't leave KiChi" Then she realized where her dog was at.

My aunt Val stomped on the brakes. If you haven't figured it out already, KiChi was still tied to the back of her car. The poor thing was dragged from the back of car for about one forth of a mile.

Surprizingly, KiChi made it and was still alive. But she lost a lot of fur and she's a lot weaker than she used to be. She is a pretty old dog. She's a black Chow Chow. A real sweet dog. My Aunt took her to the vet as soon as she could and the vet said that KiChi will be okay but is on medication now, I believe.

My cousin told me this last night and I couldn't believe that happened. Now, don't get me wrong, my aunt is a total animal lover. My cousin told me that my aunt hates herself for what she did and that she could never forgive herself.

This acutally reminds me of a movie, I forget what it's called, but this family was on vacation and they forgot that they tied their dog on the back bumper of the car and it took them a long time to figure out that the dog wasn't with them in the car and still tied at the bumper. The dog didn't survive. The movie was a comedy but that one part...I couldn't stand.

I'm glad that KiChi is still alive and that my aunt stopped the car before it was too late. I really don't think it's a good idea at all to tie your dog or any pet to any part of your car. Even if it's just for a second! I've heard stories of dogs being tied to a truck. Dogs jumping out and hanging themselves because they were tied on a leash to the truck. :(

My aunt made that mistake and she's hating herself for what she did. I hope that this teaches her not to do that again. Poor KiChi. Just wanted to tell you all not to do the same thing to your pet.
