Yucky.... what I really don't like is public restrooms that have old-fashioned knob-taps for the water and air-driers instead of paper towels. So you have no choice but to touch the dirty tap again in order to turn it off. Kind of defeats the purpose *sigh*. It grosses me out. - Kokoro |

I always have taken Hand Sanatiser with me when going to a hotel and then always clean stuff with it if Im staying a long time..lol...I always use it on the remotes, door knobs, sink knobs, usually clean the shower myself before getting into it....its a huge chore, but after taking this BloodBorne Pathogen class...I am paranoid..lol....Ive become a clean freak. I always use a paper towel too to turn off the water after washing my hands and to open the bathroom door to get out in public places.

I think Americans are way too paranoid about germs. This is why we have an immune system. It's worked for us 100's of thousands of years. It's not a bad idea to wash your hands regularly, but I see no reason for the sudden precautions, unless you're really old, really young, have a weak immune system, or are planning to eat food off of your television remote.  |

Another thing you should be leary of is the quilt/comforter on the bed,where I used to work they only washed them once a year,only washing them before that if they got soiled..the blankets,sheets etc were washed frequently it is the quilt/ comforter that was not...so after that experience I never use the quilt in hotels I just push it to the end of the bed and just use the blanket and top sheet.  |
