well twin, i think a trip to the vet might be in order, Sushi isn't the type to be so loud, so it's something to check out.. |

I have an old himalayan(sp?)/siamese cat, she's about 13 I believe.. anyways i'm not sure what to tell you. Maybe Sushi's just being cranky? Or being an older cat his joints might be aching or something else might be bothering him. My cat gets in moods every once in a while and you just have to let her be. |

well from what i know, male or female they meow alot more then other types of cats. i had a female siamese cat who walked around the house meowing like crazy...sounded like a baby crying, but she was female.. even when she was pregnant she still did it, i guess they just do that... now my cat got out one day and got hit by a car,and we lost her, never did i think i loved her that much until she died,we miss her alot, but like i said she did that all the time, even when she was pregnant, she did end up having one kitten but it died at birth, so now i just look at her pictures and i am so happy i had her for a while... she was my baby... i hope you can get your cat figured out,but i think those cats do that for no reason at all...

You might want to take him to the vet to check for kidney failure. My best friend's siamese is 16 years old and it started out with the same symptoms. Also, watch her eating habits to make sure she's not drinking a lot of water and not much food. Kidney problems are common in older siamese cats and it's better to be safe than sorry. |

I have a siamese and he does the exact same thing. He'll act normal for months and then he'll just freak out and wonder around mrowing for seemingly no reason. My guess is that it will just go away in a few days. To be honest with you, I think that it's spirits messing around with my cat. *LoveisAll* |

Maybe he isn't feeling well? I have a siamese but, he is only 2yrs old so not an old timer. I did have a older male cat who got vocal when he was ill so possibly a trip to the vet is needed? |

When my cat got older (she lived until she was almost 23), she miowed super loudly a lot and it sounded like she was in pain. I took her to the Vet and he told me it was a result of her hearing loss, he said cats who are losing their hearing will often do this. This is just one possibility though... you should take him to the vet to see if he's okay, just to be certain. *hugs* - Kokoro |

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'm trying to track down a vet now, the last vet sushi saw was a realy jerk. I have experiance working in a vet clinic and this vet showed me Sushis ex-rays then tried to convince me to pay for a procedure he didn't need. So I dont want to go back there. Good suggestions from you all tho, it gives me something to talk to the vet about and ideas of tests we can do. Thanks guys |
