Yes, this dream clearly comes from fear. Even the memory of him seems to hurt you. You need to work on getting over him, and your fear *hugs*  |

I agree with what everyone has said here so far. Also, (and this is from personal experience) Your ex may represent a fear or phobia. When I had severe panic attacks and couldn't leave the house, I would have these nightmares and a lot of times it was my ex who was chasing me (he too was violent and abusive on all levels.) I had read about controlling dreams and that being chased and harmed usually wasn't prophetic in the sense that the person would come after me. He represented my fear or inner demon. When I was able to control my dreams, he then turned to a demon and I had to kill it. I have been panic attack free ever since. This might be the case for you, or it could be also that you still have this fear of him. The damage he did to on all levels during your relationship is still haunting you. I personally feel that if you keep having these dreams, you might want to look into learning to control your dreams and then tell him in the dream you are forgetting about him and handle things as they happen in the dream. I wish you the best of luck in this. It must be terrifying for you. Don't allow his memory to hurt you anymore. :-) God Bless  |
