Try and open it in the program you were using. ie; Word. You may have already done that. Also, Look at it in My Computer and see if it's showing how full it is or not. Did you take it out before it rebooted itself? Try rebooting it with the disc in. Good luck! ![]() |

If it rebooted whilstit was reading from or writing to the floppy disk then chances are that it has corrupted the data and the disk will be unreadable. ![]() |

Yet another satisfied floppy disk user... First of all dont use them anymore get some mini cd r's or something. Second of all dont format your data wont be lost if you do but it will make matters worse. Third your data may or may not be currupted odds are only parts for the floppy track are currupted (keeping your computer from reading the data) not the data itself. What you need to do is get some data recovery software. Better yet have someone do it for you. Call some of the local computer shops and ask them if they do floppy disk data recovery. Then just tell them what happened. Best of luck... luck the only true way to deal with floppies. --Negative_One |
