Life After?

Life After? ===========

We struggle with so many issues in life.

Divorce, death of loved one, loss of a job, eviction, health issues, money gone, and the list goes on.

We get prayer request after prayer request in essence saying, what do I do after (fill in the blank)?

Some things are never easy, I don't care how much faith you have. Some things are just tough but it helps to understand the "life after" equation.

In math, to prove a theorem the standard rule is to put an extremely large number in the equation and see if the equation still holds true. If it does, then you put an extremely small number in and check that.

What seems to be the biggest thing we can possibly face? What is most people's idea of the greatest tragedy?

Death!

Some may argue the point but by and large, death will win hands down. It's the biggie.

Plug it into the equation.

It may sound morbid to some but I actually look forward to it. I'm not rushing it, I'm doing my best to stay in health but neither am I dreading it.

Why?

Because I believe it's better on the other side provided that you go to the right side.

The answer that you get when you plug in the biggest seeming disaster will influence how you view all of the other seemingly smaller disasters along the way to the big one.

Often we get the wrong answer to the "life after" question because we really haven't resolved within our spirits the real "life after" question.

This past MountainWings issue #2354 and the sermon on TheOnLineWord.com #5000 gives some background on why I feel the way that I do. And perhaps it will help you too, answer your "Life After" question.

How it changed my life:

Well, I happen to believe as what the author does. I really liked this one and thought it would be good to share it with others.

I want to stay here until I finish what I came here to do and after that is finished , I am very willing to go on to the other world and to take up where I left off the last time I was there....I also look forward to it , because I have been there and I know it is not like what we have been taught ! Thanks for posting this!
Date: 9/6/2004 11:04:00 PM  From Authorid: 55967    From what I understand, the largest fear in everyone's eyes is disappearing. Disappearing from your life, from the people in your life, and from what you know as life. This of course includes death, but it also includes why public speaking is at the top of the list, too. If you feel you're going to flub it up, you'll feel a certain abandonment from all the people in front of you, feeling that you as a person will "disappear" in their eyes. Can you see that? (no pun intended). Think of facing the great unknown completely alone with absolutely no one with you, and no chance to get back anything from your life. That's death, and in the old days, that's what happened when you were ostracized from a society as punishment. It could be very frightening.
