Perhaps whoever was/is looking on did not notice someone who might have pre-paid, or lingered behind to take care of the bill; or perhaps arrangements were made in advance as to payment of the bill by the person in charge of campaign expenditures? I'm very certain that no one is going to go into a restaurant, chow down and just get up and walk away without either pre-pay, or special arrangements before or after. In the past, I have organized different parties (kids parties, ladies groups, etc) wherein I informed the establisment AHEAD of time as to how many would be there, and that I would be taking care of the bill afterwards. |

This woman's record for relating to "normal" Americans is outstanding to say the least. She's a fearless, tireless, philanthropist and Humanitarian. Set up Heinz Foundation awards and scholarships; childrens organizations and charities, Human Rights, and Women's rights organizations, and centers for Ecological concerns, to name a few. |

Put up or shut up, BCAR. You just make assertions based on assumptions. Besides and Furthermore, when anyone, or any organization receives benefits from a philanthropic humanitarian, do they then question WHY the aid is being given? Do they tear down and trash their benefactors? Upon receipt of such help, do they ask if their benefactor is getting a tax deduction, and IF the answer is yes, then well, gosh darn it, no-can-do, they refuse to accept it?? Try again, to come up with something that makes sense please. And your bashing comment is pure hypocrisy, and you know it. |

Whenever I personally go out on a limb to give a hand up to someone, I have never had anyone question "What's in it for you?" and or "Will you be able to write this off". NO. They are very very thankful for the help, and all I ask in return is for them to always try and PASS IT ON; to help others as they can. I do not give just so in order to get a tax deduction. I've never even taken a tax deduction for anything I've ever done, and do not intend to, but I sure as heck would never trash anyone if they chose to do that either. I could care less WHY someone gives ; I am just very happy that there are the Teresa's out there who DO care, and who DO make a difference. There is a woman here in Kansas City, whos wealth far surpasses Teresa Kerry, but she gives millions every year to various childrens hospitals, burn units, and schools and universities. Do I care; does anyone care IF, or WHAT she may or may not write off?? NO! |

Wrong, Eddo! I would not believe it no matter WHOSE name you put in there. It's ridiculous. NO ONE would do such a thing as going into a restaurant , chowing down and not paying for it, either PRIOR to, during, or afterwards; without SOME KIND of arrangements. Now, SNOPES is always chasing down all sorts of weird, false, and misleading stuff, and I just bet you any amount of money that if one were to go digging, they would find out that this "couple of friends" have quite a lot of agenda of their own going on, and are getting a lot of milage out of this fabrication. And, I bet the owner would have a different story. If you're interested in the truth, then present it to Snopes, or factfinders, or call the owner yourself, but somehow I don't think you're interested in such little ole pesky and irritating things as "facts" or truthfulness. |

Also, you know what? I just got this ridiculous e-mail in which a whole bunch of stuff was said about an interview between Denzel Washington and katie couric on Dateline, and I immediately smelled a rat. Sure enough, when I went and dug up a transcript of the interview, it was NOTHING remotely like the misleading and lying e-mail! It does not take a brilliant rocket scientist to figure out all this propagandic tactics. Sadly, the darn truth is: Very few people actually take the time to go digging for the facts; they believe whatever they WANT to believe, and do not take the time to find out the truth. I'm a skeptic, no matter WHO, no matter what, no matter WHOSE story is out there or what. |

If she and her gang actually didn't pay for their meals...I'd be surprised. Maybe, the owner was so taken by them being their, he didn't charge them? Maybe we're missing part of the story here. As for their not leaving a tip... that part wouldn't surprise me at all. Kerry acts as if he's so concerned about those who are struggling but neither he or his wife have ever had to. |
