CAT OR DOG ???? LIZARD-1

  Author:  62753  Category:(Debate) Created:(8/25/2004 8:18:00 AM)

Do you think cats are better than dogs, or the other way around? Are dogs more faithful? What do you think.....? Which one do you have? Would you rather have a cat or dog?

I have a pregnant cat..... she is solid white with 2 different color eyes. We named her Snowball, but lately we have been calling her Momma..... She came to my house one day and started to hang out on my porch! She was a stray! I brought her inside gave her some tuna, and got some medication for her flea's.... she fell in love with my three year old. SHe likes him best of all, and he adores her..... I didn't know she was pregnant, but after this litter of kittins she is getting fixed. I want to keep her babies. I have suddenly become a CAT PERSON ...... I use to hate cats. ANy idea how many kittens a cat usually has? I think it is her first litter, and she is rather small built... She looks like a runt.

ALSO - will my cat pick a spot to have her kittens or can I make her a spot?? If anyone has any experience, I'd appreciate it!

Date: 8/25/2004 8:22:00 AM  From Authorid: 58611    Cats usually have between 4-7 kittens I think, at least thats how it was with mine growing up. And my cat would always pick her own spot, even if it was in the neighboors garage! Then she would bring them home one by one. But you could try to make her a special spot, it has to be somewhere safe though where she feels like nothing can get to her. Just wait till those little kittens get here, you will be in love with them all!
Date: 8/25/2004 8:25:00 AM  From Authorid: 55386    Hrm....I like both....Dogs, because they're playful, yet nice and calm, usually friendly. Cats, well, I own a huuuuge fat one, but he's independant, yet they fit my lifestyle, and take after themselves....So I'd say either. Also, cats usually pick their own spots to have their kittens. ^.^
Date: 8/25/2004 8:26:00 AM  From Authorid: 19772    I love all animals but am especially a "cat person" I own four of them. People will say dogs are more faithfull but I beg to differ with some of the cats I own. My one cat will follow me out to get the mail, to put my child on the school bus, and even if I go for a walk he stays right by my side. He also LOVES car rides and gets very insulted if I don't take him with me when I go. Good luck with your kittens (she could have anywhere from 1 to 6) And you can make up a spot for her (like a box with a blanket and stuff) but chances are she'll pick her own spot (like a closet) and you'll have to hunt her down. Take care ~Gabrielle~
Date: 8/25/2004 8:34:00 AM  From Authorid: 22308    i like dogs. i cannot stand cats. i guess really the main reason is because i have dreams about them biting me and i can feel it.
Date: 8/25/2004 9:02:00 AM  From Authorid: 25756    In general I love cats. Dogs for me are a little too drooly. Lol! And plus, you could leave cat alone for a few days if you go away, and a dog has to be watched. I do like some dogs though.
Date: 8/25/2004 9:30:00 AM  From Authorid: 52155    Cat tastes better, but dog is easier to catch...
Date: 8/25/2004 9:51:00 AM  From Authorid: 30229    I like both cat and dog, but my fave would have to be a doggie... And AquaRose already told ya about the kittens...
Date: 8/25/2004 9:56:00 AM  From Authorid: 25183    I am a dog person. It isn't that I don't like cats, I am just allergic to them. No kittes for me! My daughter would love to have a kitten, but an outdoor cat would not survive out here with all the coyotes!!
Date: 8/25/2004 10:40:00 AM  From Authorid: 8817    I am a dog person! Never cared for cats much

Date: 8/25/2004 12:35:00 PM  From Authorid: 27534    If I really wanted a pet.... it would be a dog....
Date: 8/25/2004 12:40:00 PM  From Authorid: 62740    One word: Cats. How about you? Anyway...I could keep blabing but I got stuff to do...bye! *MK* aka: CATS RULE! DOGS DROOL! (But some are cute like shepareds. )
Date: 8/25/2004 3:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 3835    If the sole choice is to just cats or dogs.. I would have to choose cats, because they are independant and can fend for themselves.. dogs are great too, but they are more demanding of time and need walked and excercised regularly.. whereas a cat amuses itself and can terrorize through a home twenty times in seconds flat without injury to itself, Lol.. dogs are excellent to watch out car door windows and watching their jowls blow in the wind and their eyes squint down, Lol.. but cats are excellent to watch when they are watching birds out the window and their heads bob up and down as the birds swoop and dart about, or when they discover you bought them their own aquarium of fish to watch, but with a lid on it to protect the fish! (Otherwise, my main animal to own are scorpions).
Date: 8/25/2004 4:41:00 PM  From Authorid: 47218    I'm an all around animal lover, but if I had to choose one over the other it would definitely be cats (but you couldn't tell that from my tag, could you?). Cats just agree with me a little more, with their cute, little furry faces and their purring. Dogs are delightful too, though.
Date: 8/25/2004 5:15:00 PM  From Authorid: 29262    I think Cats and dogs are so cute! I couldn't imagine living w/o one or another but I do think that dogs are there for you more than cats are. My dog saved my gdmas life when she had a heart attack. She almost died and she would have if my dog didn't get the neighbors attention and led them to her. I don't see cats on the t.v. saving people more than dogs. That's why cats are more swift.. Cats are strong willed on the outside. Dogs are strong willed on the inside.
Date: 8/25/2004 8:39:00 PM  From Authorid: 62423    I'm more of a cat person... But I do love dogs!
Date: 8/25/2004 8:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 12341    I'm "owned" by both! How can I choose between them? They each have personalities unique to them and only them... just like me.
Date: 8/26/2004 12:06:00 AM  From Authorid: 51070    I prefer cats. They're cleaner.
Date: 9/2/2004 2:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 62624    cats mostly, but I do love my 2 yorkies.
Date: 9/5/2004 8:46:00 PM  From Authorid: 57232    Dogs
Date: 10/25/2004 10:32:00 PM  From Authorid: 62928    Dogs! I'm crazy about em! Mixed Breed Shelter Pups only!! (well they can be purebred, but as long as there rescued) Cats are cool too, but i'm deathly allergic to them. Plus dogs are much more interactive, there Super Smart too.
