A ghostly candle,held by an invisible hand, has been seen by dozens of witnesses here.The church was founded in 1770 and became the chapel for the Monterey Presidio in 1795 but has only become haunted in the 20th century.Parishioners see the candle floating in midair and some have come face-to-face with the ghost of a priest who served there in the 1920s.
