Usually it is brought up what is you favorite Scary Movie, but what is your favorite Scary moment from a movie. One of the moments that made your skin crawl because maybe just maybe...You were scared! Or you could envision what was going on by what you viewed. I have 2 off the top of my head that I still get scared of everytime I see them.

1. American History X. I'll tell you what. First of all this isn't a horror movie, but it has a lot of hatred and quite possibly the most tense moment I have ever seen, and for those of you have seen this movie you know EXACTLY what I am talking about. Ed Norton tells this guy to put his chin to the curb, that's all I can say. VERRRY Scary.

2. I always get creeped out by the definition in the ghosts in Poltergeist. I get really get a chill, especially if the lights are off when the ghosts parade down the stairs toward the chandelier. It's night time and it's really quiet and the ghosts aren't actually doing anything to anybody at this point, but it is sooooo creepy to me, scares me everytime.

So what are yours?

Date: 8/23/2004 5:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 17081    Its OK, not great. It is a little freaky more than it is scary.
Date: 8/23/2004 5:54:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    maybe I'll give it a try....later I'm not going to rush on that one
Date: 8/23/2004 5:58:00 PM  From Authorid: 22308    when the girl in The Ring crawled out of the tv. i was backing up with the guy cause i thought she was coming through my screen next
Date: 8/23/2004 5:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 17081    Some really good movies: Frequency, Band Of Brothers, What Dreams May Come, Southern Comfort, Meet The Parents, Anger Management, Enemy At The Gates, ....Don't pass these ones by if you are in the video store.
Date: 8/23/2004 6:01:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Southern Comfort sounds very familiar...have to look that up. I STILL haven't seen Anger Management, some I just haven't got around to it.
Date: 8/23/2004 6:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 17081    Southern Comfort is when the soldiers go on a training mission and make the hillbillies mad.
Date: 8/23/2004 6:03:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Hi Fuel Girl 180 My friend Jeremy and some of his friends LOVE Japanese culture and around 99' or so, maybe a little bit earlier he made me watch this movie called Ringu. I love horror films so I obliged. It was so good!!!!! the language barrier didn't stop my fear. Ringu was the original the Ring was based on. That little girl sure was creepy, it was cute when she received her award at a MTV awards things, she was in character. One of the other movies Jeremy made me watch that I liked was Battle Royale! GREATTT movie!
Date: 8/23/2004 6:04:00 PM  From Authorid: 33286    paying the bill for tickets and food is my scariest moment in EVERY movie
Date: 8/23/2004 6:05:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Mfrompa I'll have to look for that, I like the director's work in the movie "The Warriors"...Hey Warriors come out to play Warriors!!
Date: 8/23/2004 6:06:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Timbo you actually get food at movies..you must be rich! Yeah movies are quite expensive.
Date: 8/23/2004 6:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 17081    Is that the same guy that did the warriors. I loved that movie. Another good movie is Bad Boys. Not the Will Smith one but the one with Sean Penn in it.
Date: 8/23/2004 6:15:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Own that one proudly Mfrompa! My favorite part in that movie is when he puts the soda cans in the pillow case! Sean Penn is my 2nd favorite actor
Date: 8/23/2004 6:18:00 PM  From Authorid: 17081    Yeah the soda can in the pillow is the most memorable part in that movie. I have The Warriors and Southern Comfort and Bad Boys taped on VHS.
Date: 8/23/2004 6:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 17081    Who is your favorite? I like Jack Nicholson, Keifer sutherland, Robert deNiro.
Date: 8/23/2004 6:21:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    don't hit me, and it's not because of recent popularity or anything and it's not because of looks, Johnny Depp. Anyone who gets their start in A Nightmare on Elm Street is fine by me! I like his work and the choices he makes. I have never been let down by any of his performances, I've never seen Don Juan DeMarco though or some other random others. Jack Nicholson is my 3rd favorite. I've never seen The Last Detail and my mom has Netflix and I put that on her queue and I've been wanting to see Five Easy Pieces again, the restaurant scene alone is enough to see that one.
Date: 8/23/2004 6:22:00 PM  From Authorid: 23101    Ummm.. When the girl crawls out of the T.V. on the Ring. Hehe.. The Ring is really the only movie that I have seen, thats scary. *hugs*
Date: 8/23/2004 6:23:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    I saw a Kiefer Sutherland movie last night, Dark City. I'm a big fan of his father

Date: 8/23/2004 6:50:00 PM  From Authorid: 22308    yeah Ringu looks good. never seen the other movie though
Date: 8/23/2004 6:58:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Fuel Girl 180 you can only see it if you buy it off of ebay or something or DL it somewhere, it's in Japanese...BUT you understand everything. Students are put on an island and are instructed to kill each other, http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0266308/ I wouldn't mind seeing again! Realllllly good movie language barriers aside
Date: 8/23/2004 7:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 62273    All of May was scary. Especially when the dol lcomes to life in the end. That ain't no chucky thats for sure lol.
Date: 8/23/2004 7:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 62424    Texas Chainsaw Massacre...when a guy got his left leg cut off and then that freaky guy carried him down to the basement...put salt on his wounds and hung him like a piece of meat on a hook...a girl came back like 4 hours later and he was still alive...
Date: 8/23/2004 7:21:00 PM  From Authorid: 48941    Mine would be the movie Entity, it was not a real scary movie but it is based on a true event in a womans life and every time it would attack her it sent chills up my spine.
Date: 8/23/2004 7:35:00 PM  From Authorid: 30401    This isn't the scariest moment from a movie that I've seen, but it's one I thought of because I saw Joy Ride the other night. When 'Lewis' is laying in his motel room, and his brother is in the other room hitting on Venna. The phone rings, Lewis wakes up, and it's the maniac on the other end. He says "I thought you said there wasn't a girl." And then Lewis runs next door....and it's all dramatic.
Date: 8/23/2004 8:00:00 PM  From Authorid: 23101    *ROFLMBO* OMG .. BMonkey, I didnt know that. That is so cool. LOVE YA FUEL GIRL! Hehe.. That is so cool.. Thanks for letting me know. *hugs*
Date: 8/23/2004 8:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 23101    Fuel Girl, I wanted to see Ringu too, but then when I read the back of it to rent it, it said that it was in Japanese and just had subtitles, and I was like "That would TOTALLY be ruining it" you know.. So I didnt get it. But you might like it. Who knows.. *shrugs* *hugs*
Date: 8/23/2004 8:24:00 PM  From Authorid: 51070    I saw American History X and that part freaked me out as well! In fact, I think I did a post on that a while back. Also, another part that freaked me out was in Mississippi Burning when some Klansmen attacked this farm and lynched this black guy and burned his barn with all the animals still inside. That freaked me out. Also, the body in What Lies Beneath gave me the chills, as did the corpse in Stir of Echoes. Great - now I'm gonna have nightmares! LOL
Date: 8/23/2004 9:35:00 PM  From Authorid: 37101    The Excorcist. In the semi-beginning where wierd things have started sporadically happening and we all know how crazy the movie gets. There's a scene where the girl's windows are open when she's sleeping, laying face down. Her mom walks in, breath cleary seen because of the room's cold, and she shuts the windows and looks at the daughter. She reaches under the pillow and finds a crucifix then slowly backs out... Freakiest thing is when you expect something to happen but you're sure it will, it makes you wonder what's going to occur next. -
Date: 8/23/2004 10:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 62833    I kept jumping during godsend too, it wasnt frightening scary like mFrompa says it was just the build up of the music and then just BOOM, something happens and it makes ya jump I loved that movie in a way I guess :P ~*PeacefulDreamer*~
Date: 8/24/2004 5:52:00 AM  From Authorid: 15228    In Jaws when they are diving around a sunken boat and a head pops out of a window--scared me so bad when I was a kid...my brother sitting next to me jumped and the milk duds he was holding flew out of the box and could be heard rolling down the isle.
Date: 8/24/2004 6:58:00 AM  From Authorid: 62704    I have to say the movie Gothica was really scary. The scariest part was when she escaped from the mental hospital and went to her house for the first time. She was looking in her mirror in the dark and she started freaking out shaking her head and screaming.
Date: 8/24/2004 7:44:00 AM  From Authorid: 44321    I wasn't technically scared but startled, in 28 Days Later when the black rage infected soldier is at the window all bloody and creepy looking, and the lightning flashed to show his mug it made me jump
Date: 8/24/2004 7:47:00 AM  From Authorid: 44321    Ok I have one that scared me..I was about 11 and we were at the theater watching Poltergeist 2 and the scene came up where Robby's braces came to life and went for the electrical outlet,it scared me to death I sat with my hand over my mouth because I had braces on my teeth and was afraid mine would do the same LOL my mom and her boyfriend teased me about it,they also said that was the quietest they had ever seen me
Date: 8/24/2004 8:37:00 AM  From Authorid: 12006    In The Sixth Sense....when the little boy is in his house and facing away from his room, a figure walks into his room behind him. The little boy starts breathing cold air, turns around, and a kid walks out of his room, stands in the doorway and says: "C'mon, let's go look at my dad's gun." Then, the figure turns around and you can see a huge bloody bullet hole in the back of his head. If I was that kid, I'd be sleeping with my mom every night.
Date: 8/24/2004 5:05:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Velvet that is creepy, especially with the showing of the cold air
Date: 8/24/2004 5:07:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Medusa that Reverend Kane guy gave me the total creeps, he looked like a walking skeleton...God is in his holy temple, how can words sound so scary out of someone's mouth!
Date: 8/24/2004 5:12:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Star Angel I was sleepy when I saw Gothika, maybe I should give that one another try
Date: 8/24/2004 5:14:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Kelly I want to see that movie again so bad! I haven't seen it in so long that watching it would be like watching it for the first time. That was cool about the Milk Duds!
Date: 8/24/2004 5:15:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    PeacefulDreamer then perhaps I should rent that! Sometimes just a great moment is enough for me to see! thanks
Date: 8/24/2004 5:17:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Smooth Criminal I remember thinking..What is going to happen next if they got away with that!
Date: 8/24/2004 5:18:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    I hope you didn't have any nightmares Creepyfreak I need to check that post of yours out sometime
Date: 8/24/2004 5:19:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 57232    Hi Lauren I own that movie and a friend of mine was ribbing me for it, but that is a tense movie, I loved it, reminded me sorta of this movie I saw once called The Hitcher
Date: 8/26/2004 7:44:00 PM  From Authorid: 6003    I would have to say when they start hearing the scratching sounds in the ceiling from the first Exorcist movie. That has always creeped me out!
