Sky rumbles its stormy threat,
The air changes so skin will sweat,
Light shifts to a different hue,
Clouds darken right on que,
Wind pants its gusty breath,
Shrieking watchers scared to death,
Fierce rain pelts the ground,
Thunder claps its startling sound,
Choas comes as debris now flies,
Terror enters from unfriendly skies,
Man's kingdom lies in the path,
God's finger announces his wrath,
Firery hail begins to fall,
None are spared from it all,
Judgement comes in the end,
Sometimes enters as unwelcomed wind,
Two cities destroyed from all of this,
Forever lost to no longer exist,
What lesson is there to be learned?
How is such destruction earned?
Deaf ears from a message sent,
Hardened hearts and morals bent,
A flood arose from the rains,
Covered the fields and the plains,
Creation spared in a chosen few,
An Ark held them two by two,
A bow was placed in the sky,
For all men to remember why,
And when man wants his own way,
A reminder there of another day,
Many lessons I confess I fail,
My transgressions off the scale,
God teach me how to live,
Love me Lord and forgive,
My hope I see in the sky,
A rainbow to remember why.
