Mischievous Pets!

I have a Golden Retriever puppy named Toby. He is adorable, but mischievous still the same! LOL. This morning I made breakfast and left the bag of bread out on the counter. When I came back to put the food away I couldn't find the bread. I looked everywhere! Then I realized that Toby wasn't around, he usually follows me everywhere. I found him in the backyard with the bread. By the time I got to him he had just about finished off the whole loaf. He's getting so big, that he can just jump up and get stuff off the counter. He's such a brat!! LOL. That was the most recent thing he did; but he's always chewing up shoes and getting into things. I guess he's just a pup though, but I do hope he gets out of this chewing stage soon. But I heard the other day that Golden Retrievers act like puppies most of their lives! geez! LOL> So what kind of mischievous things do yalls pets do?

Date: 8/23/2004 2:37:00 PM  From Authorid: 8278    i have a pomeranian named Stanley. he is SOOOO adorible and i just love him to pieces...but his chewing on things is getting a bit out of control! he recently chewed up a cell phone charger. and everytime i turn around, he has a shoe in his mouth. i know he is just a puppy...but i have been desperately trying to find a way to get him out of this stage!! other than that, he is a perfect puppy =)
Date: 8/23/2004 2:57:00 PM  From Authorid: 45630    I have always found that keeping dogs outside works wonders. I have a Bull terrier, Fox Terrier cross. She is the best dog in the world and I keep her outside, except for at night when she is locked up underneath the house and there isn't much she can get into there.
Date: 8/23/2004 3:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 62838    In the middle of the night, when my cat decided she'd had enough of the outdoors and wanted to come inside again, she would put her paws up on my bedroom window screen and claw at it continuously until the noise of it woke me up so I would open the window and let her in :P. Countless times I would wake up to that sound, and then half asleep I would blindly stumble to the window and trip over stuff on the way, in order to let her in. It always interrupted my sleep which was a bit of a pain, but she would purr so much when I let her in to sleep with me that it just made my heart melt, I allowed her to do it all the time, it was a bad habit :P. My Dad got annoyed because she did it so much that the fly-screen on the outside of the window kept fraying to pieces from her claws, so eventually I just cut a cat-door in the screen and left my window open all the time so she could come in and out as she pleased. When I moved to America I couldn't take her with me... she stayed with my Mum and Dad. I miss her so much, she's very special to me. - Kokoro

Oh man she does tons of evil things lol to many to say *huggs*
Date: 8/23/2004 4:35:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30401    my toby bear loves water too! It's so funny to watch him. I've always had small terrier type dogs that hate water, so this is new. We have a slip-n-slide, and he has a blast with it. He also has a baby pool that we fill up, and he'll just sit in there totally submerged in water.
Date: 8/23/2004 5:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 57232    I got so mad at George!!!! I have 2 dogs Buddy and George. My boyfriend and I had gone to Applebee's and got steaks (this all happened a month ago by the way) and we drove home almost 5 hours in the same day. The steaks we figured were not any good anymore probably. Mike had got the double one, so he had some ribs too. So for my 2 doggy guy friends I had a steak and a 1/2 and 6 riblets for them to share. I put their doggy loot on top of the island and had to use the restroom. GEORGE, the inside dog managed to get up there and eat all of it except for 3 of the riblets I can save for Buddy. I was FURIOUS with him, my punishment to him was not talking to him for the rest of the day, he's a social dog I know that hurt his feelings and Mike didn't pay him any attention either. That made me so mad!!
Date: 8/23/2004 7:35:00 PM  From Authorid: 54968    My dog used to take all kinds of things- chap stick, pens, pencils and start chewing on them. LOL
Date: 8/23/2004 7:40:00 PM  From Authorid: 23101    OMG .. I can't believe that you have a GoldenRetriever puppy. I want one of them, I can't believe it. Hehe.. I love Golden Retrievers. But after I hear this lil story, maybe I dont. Maybe I should stick with getting the turtle. :P *hugs*
Date: 8/23/2004 7:43:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 30401    LOL...yeah Little Jung, they are a handful that's for sure. But my puppy is adoranle, I'll give him that!.:-)
Date: 8/23/2004 9:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 50434    Buy ALOT of doggie toys that will help the chewing phase and you can teach him what he can and cant chew. Both my dogs are a pain, and my one dog loves bread we cant leave it out on the counter cause like your dog hell eat the whole thing.
Date: 8/23/2004 9:36:00 PM  From Authorid: 49889    I have a horse who acts like a dork. His name's Shiloh and he is truly a pain in the rear end! A couple weeks ago, he almost killed the owner of the stable we keep him in. I guess the owner was saddling up his horse, when Shiloh found an empty can of soda in his pen. He picked it up and threw it at the owner's horse who spooked and LITERALLY jumped on top of the owner. Luckily he survived with only a broken ankle. LOL Great post! Sounds like Toby and Shi should get together sometime!
