As I have complained to many of you, I have a HORRIBLE sunburn on my back. Well, lucky me, I have to be out in the sun for 9 hours. . .AGAIN, ALL WEEK. Its gonna be in the 80's.

Well, my back is killing me, mostly right now because my bra is placed where I'm burned. I've tried everything to make it not hurt, make the burn go away, and I don't feel like I'm doing anything. I put sooth-a-caine on it (Search at riteaid.com or something and you'll find it) and Iced it, took cold showers, drank lots of fluids, and I don't know what else to do! It's a pretty nasty burn! I -think- its starting to blister and it HURTS! What can I do to at least stop the hurting? Tylenol isn't working!!!

Date: 8/23/2004 5:46:00 AM  From Authorid: 46527    There's nothing you can do but STAY OUT OF THE SUN....unless you want to do more permanent damage!
Date: 8/23/2004 7:31:00 AM  From Authorid: 49976    Go to walmart and get this stuff called ocean potion,it has lidocane and numbs the pain. Also if you have to be out in the sun wear spf 40 or higher sunblock and cover up your burn,it might be uncomfortable but id rather be uncomfortable then have something worse happen.Hope you feel well soon.

Date: 8/23/2004 7:53:00 AM  From Authorid: 55386    Yeah, there's also stuff called cooljel, just ask the people at the store....Also, vaselin always worked really good for me, along with puting in lotions to keep my back moisturized. Stay out of the sun! I once got a bad second degree burn for doing that....v.v; What helped me is sleep, vaseline, Noxima(It does work!) and cooljel packets. Hope that helped!
Date: 8/23/2004 7:56:00 AM  From Authorid: 55386    And if you have to be in the sun, cover up!!! Especially where you got burned, make sure you're wearing light colours, so you don't attract the hot rays, and have a few light coloured shirts on.
Date: 8/23/2004 10:05:00 AM  From Authorid: 35160    1, DONT WEAR THE BRA. that will just irratate it more, and cause you more agony hun. 2. use lots and lots of aloe vera. man does that stuff help. it cools the burn and helps so very much.
Date: 8/23/2004 12:13:00 PM  From Authorid: 47218    if you're gonna be outdoors, you better wear a lot of clothing and some strong sunblock. Better yet, if this for school, you should get a Dr.'s excuse and stay out of the sun during peak hours (10-2) for at least a week. If it's blistering, that means you've done serious damage to your skin and it needs time to heal! And be careful, dear-- serious burns like this put you at risk for melanoma later on.
Date: 8/23/2004 12:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 23101    Aloe Vera gel, and since it is on your back, make sure that someone can put in on you. When you put it on, you have to keep putting it on, because if it is really bad, then it will dry up in a second. It feels really good too. *huge hugs*
Date: 8/23/2004 10:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 51070    Maybe you should go to the doctor if it gets worse. I hope you feel better. "hugs"
Date: 8/24/2004 1:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 23101    Oh, and stay out of the sun, and if you cannot avoid that, wear a lot of clothes. *hugs*
