I went to the dentist a little over a year ago and got the top of my mouth numbed, the next day it felt like my nose was broke. It was swollen and hurt, never had the nose running and never found out what caused it but have had a lot of sinus problems since it happened, so yeah I'm no help. |

LOL..Base my nose is really sore..feels like someone smacked me..Its wierd though because when they did the left side of my upper teeth, they had to freeze the roof of my mouth and this didnt happen then..but it happened this time..I am wondering if they maybe hit a nerve or something with the needles?? |

hmm i have never had anything like this done... i say call your dentist in the morning as soon as they open. Im sure its probably a common thing, there may or maynot be something they can do. |

I have to get a tooth filled or pulled depending on how bad it is. It really hurts right now. |

I wouldnt worry to much, LL. The nerve cells from your jaw split three different ways to certain areas of the face. When they froze your gum line they must have hit a nerve that sent out other signals to parts of your face giving the same reaction. Totally normal. Within a day or two maybe three the symptoms will subside. I know this isnt much to go on, but maybe it'll give you something. Good Luck!! |

If you felt sort of a pinching kind of sting when the needle went it, it means it probably hit a nerve...It actually happens quite often. |

When I got my mouth numbed, they only used this really gross cream stuff to numb it. I'm glad I didn't have to have a needle! |

maybe it was just a little too much freezing that caused it... how do you feel now? That reminds me of someone i know that had an epidural... it numbed her higher than it should have up past her heart rather than just working on her lower body |
