What's worse than dying? *YG*

Hiya USM!!

This might be in the wrong category. Sorry if it is!

Since I know a lot of people who have been dying this year, I have been thinking a lot about death. I have came up with a conclusion about dying.

I believe their is something worse than dying. I believe that if someone was shot or stab and they believe that they are going to die but end up surviving that that is worse than dying because you remember what happen and you remember how it happen. I believe when you died that you are in peace and you don't remember pain. That you are very comfortable. I'm not sure if this makes any sense. It probably doesn't. I was wondering what everyone thinks. Do you think I'm right? Or am I wrong? Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Date: 8/10/2004 7:13:00 PM  From Authorid: 36704    probably depends on the person but most people who have near death experiences feel like they have a second chance and a new outlook and attitude on life
Date: 8/10/2004 7:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 52130    i agree with Base, most people who go through that and survive are very happy to have a second chance...very interesting post!

Date: 8/10/2004 7:18:00 PM  From Authorid: 33925    Like Base..Most people that have had near death experiences feel like they have been given a second chance..A chance to LIVE their lives better. I think the only thing worse than dying is to watch someone you love more than anything in the world dying..that to me is worse than dying myself.
Date: 8/10/2004 7:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 37101    Base is right. What's worse than death? Living a life where death seems like the best option. Or, complete paralysis. Having complete, rational thought but being able to do absolutely nothing about it. -
Date: 8/10/2004 7:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 37101    Or, how about trying to kill yourself and failing. How miserable would you feel then? -
Date: 8/10/2004 7:28:00 PM  From Authorid: 55386    Well, personally, I think being truely alone is worse than dying....It gives you a sense of helplessness, and everything. But all in all, if I thought the way most people do lol, yeah, I think believing you will die from that kind of thing, and then actually living is probably worse than dying.
Date: 8/10/2004 7:29:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 38406    Smooth Criminal that's a really good point about trying to kill yourself and than failing.
Date: 8/10/2004 7:50:00 PM  From Authorid: 54968    I agree with Lady Luck! It has to be worse watching your loved one dying.
Date: 8/10/2004 8:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 35720    I tried killing myself and failed.. it's not fun. I would have died, but someone found me and I got to the hospital in time. Sigh..
Date: 8/10/2004 8:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 35720    And I think alot of things are worse than dying.. why do you think so many people kill themselves?
Date: 8/10/2004 8:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 19460    In a way I agree. In some cases I'm sure people would rather die than to go on living. Like if you had someone attack you and harm you in a way that you wouldn't want anyone to know and you have to face people daily, knowing they know what happened to you.
Date: 8/10/2004 8:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 53055    The only thing worst than dying is to be forgotten.
Date: 8/10/2004 8:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 62752    it isnt how u die, it is how u live KK
Date: 8/10/2004 9:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 62842    Dying and then going to hell. ~Sairth
Date: 8/10/2004 9:27:00 PM  From Authorid: 12341    Living would still be my option. Murder has to be a horrible experience. I won't ever forget a friend who was murdered and the moments of life she lived will always haunt me, thinking of her suffering, and praying. I know she did. Life can overcome almost anything. Death is permanent and leaves behind so much loss and life not fulfilled. The murder of a family member or friend never goes away, the loss is never forgotten, the life is thought of in "what ifs", what if she would have survived? Her death though had a huge impact on many, and the loss will always be there.
Date: 8/10/2004 10:13:00 PM  From Authorid: 50678    See the pain family or loved ones will have to go through after dying, dying isn't that bad, althought I don't want it to happen for a while!! lol
Date: 8/10/2004 10:59:00 PM  From Authorid: 40899    to be forgotten by your family and friends like you were nothing....to kill someone in a car accident or something and feeling guilty for the rest of your life.... if no one cared about you.... to see someone you love love someone else.... so yeah, there are a lot of things worse than death in my book
Date: 8/10/2004 11:01:00 PM  From Authorid: 40899    living your life in complete loneliness like Gothic Angel said. that's a pretty sad way to live each day
Date: 8/11/2004 8:14:00 AM  From Authorid: 36901    To me, getting old is worse than dying. I know that sounds petty, but I can't help how I feel. Growing old is my worst fear. I just turned 30 and it really has me screwed up. I mean no offense to anyone who is 'up in age' so to speak, but yeah I think getting old is far worse than dying.
Date: 8/11/2004 10:05:00 AM  From Authorid: 56063    Dying is just horrible the person might be at peace but that leaves the family devastated
Date: 8/11/2004 2:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 26363    I would think dying alone, no friends, no love, no family..just all alone would be worse.
Date: 8/11/2004 2:20:00 PM  From Authorid: 26363    Mind you those families in Africa watching everyone they love around them die, not to mention the other sufferings they must bear, I think that would be worse than dying. Watching them on tv is like watching a shell of a human being living souly because they are simply still alive. I could not imagine watching my children slowly die.
