BATHING THE CAT

1. Put both lids of the toilet up and add the required amount of pet shampoo to the water in the bowl.

2. Pick up the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.

3. In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids. You may need to stand on the lid.

4. The cat will self agitate and make ample suds. Never mind the noises that come from the toilet, the cat is actually enjoying this.

5. Flush the toilet three or four times. This provides a "power-wash and rinse."

6. Have someone open the door to the outside. Be sure that there are no people between the toilet and the outside door.

7. Stand behind the toilet as f ar as you can, and quickly lift both lids.

8. The cat will rocket out of the toilet, and run outside where he will dry him self off.

9. Both the commode and the cat will be sparkling clean!

Always here to give you the best of tested advice in difficult times... Sincerely, The Dog

Date: 8/9/2004 11:24:00 AM  From Authorid: 15228    LOL when we were first married I told my husband to give the cat a bath (he'd never had a cat before)..he turned on the shower, tossed the cat in and closed the shower curtain. Much to his surprise, the cat didn't use soap and sing while taking her shower, instead she shredded the shower curtain and my husbands arms.

Date: 8/9/2004 4:32:00 PM  From Authorid: 62367    Too funny. I don't want to think about what my babies would do to me if I ever attempted this. I being living outside. I have given my 4 cats baths. Last year they all got bathed several times over a 2 week period because of fleas. The first time I ever gave a cat a bath, I was a teenager. Our cat was white cat that was gray with dirt. I wore a padded bathrobe and gardening gloves. We both survived the experience.
