i would move. i know that don't sound fair or brave but who knows what this guy might do. you tried to do the right thing and help a neighbor in need. she took him back now it's her problem. if there is any way you can, you should find a new place to live. the police don't take a lot of things too serious til somebody is dead. of course then they have no choice. i have only had to call the police one time in my life (not counting 911 for car wrecks) and the one time i did call they didn't take me too seriously. my daughter was being stalked by this so called preacher. the cop did give me some good advise and i did it and it worked but you could tell he wasn't too concerned. another ting i would do is not answer the door for her kid either. maybe then she will get the message that you want no contact. good luck.  |

I would totally ignore her and anything to do with her. You tried to help, she didn't take the help...that becomes her problem. Moving is one way of getting out of it, but I'm an honery cuss that stays where I am planted. Ignorning them may let them get the message and it should die down. If you are worried about your car, think about getting a car alarm. Those darned things go off on the slightest giggle. I'd have some film ready to take pics if the alarm goes off. But that's just me   |

I don't plan on moving. I've been here for 13 years...she's been here for 1.......I can be pretty ornery too....and I'm not one for backing down...however this guy now will stand in her window and stare when I go into the car to drive somewhere or when I go to check the mail he will actually come out on his porch and sit and stare as well.....the police say they can't do anything...but they know this man all too well...and it's making me wonder what the cops are here for to begin with...it's not like they are helping...  |

i agree with moma bug. i am not confrontational at all, so i would move and if she knows your phone number, i would change that. i wouldnt want anything to do with a woman that invites abuse and problems into her house. -Lindsay  |

I would go to the courthouse after i typed a letter such as you just did, with the names etc. dates if possible put in it, and have it recorded under misc.records,I would give the police a copy of it,with a statement that DID have my name on it and send it to the prosecuting attorney where you live  |

If it were me, I'd move out....but you're not me so I don't think that's of any help....all I can say is to get a good lawyer and to bug the police relentlessly because whichever person at the police station told you that they didn't have any record of you calling the guy in was lying to you.... |
