Memories-ERHIT

The past is a memory inbedded in our minds
Yet we move on to discover it never really mattered
Truth prevails over our darkest storm clouds
And when the light peaks through everything's shattered

We try to forget those painful things we remember
Yet in the back of our minds it all clutters and lingers
We're standing among this crowd of ignorance
Watching as everyone begins to point their fingers

At the crossroads in our lives we question our inner being
Remaining broken and unspoken within this view
Pondering what all others may be seeing
Then the traffic changes and it's all up to "you"

Which way do you choose to take
Are you ready for what lyes ahead
Will you claim the consequences if it's a mistake
Or will you yurn your back on all that you've said

Go ahead and make up another lie
And when noone's there don't ask why

The clocks are ticking and time's running away
Soon enough we'll only have memories of today
