How can I get money for *something* that I want??? *Alexa~Angel*

Ok, I just finished watching that comercial about Dell with that blonde girl and that black haired girl. As ya'll that have seen it, the girl with the black hair(at the end) introduces "Bob", her snake, to the blonde girl. Thats when dad said to me that there is this 5 foot long Boa Constrictor for $150 dollars at his work that is extremely tame and extremely trained. I jumped up and said "I WANT IT!!" And jumped around! I REALLY want it badly and ya'll do know that I'm not old enough for a job at a store or something like that and I am maybe old enough to babysit. But how can I get $150 dollars in time to get the snake? I need ideas please =D

Date: 8/8/2004 11:33:00 AM  From Authorid: 62423    Do you know any family friends or neighhbors that are in need of a babysitter? If so, this would be an easy way to earn some cash...
Date: 8/8/2004 12:38:00 PM  From Authorid: 55386    Loan from your parents and do odd jobs to pay em back, or use all your allowance, and not get it for....however long you won't get it....idk...Lol. ^.^
Date: 8/8/2004 12:52:00 PM  From Authorid: 15675    just for the record it'll be more then that: wont u need a cage/stuff for the cage, food (live mice isnt it :S?), etc... for this snake? My guess would be it'd be bout $50 more dollars if not MORE to get that stuff (id imagine a cage thingy would be pricey) and arent mice like $20 each? You'd have to keep feeding him think of that too...

Date: 8/8/2004 2:01:00 PM  From Authorid: 58334    Become a pirate.
Date: 8/8/2004 2:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 53909    Are you sure that you want a snake? Like what Queen Crazy mentioned, it will cost more money for a cage/tank (where ever you keep a snake), food, lighting in there, and other stuff. I think that snakes are pretty cool but I'm not sure if I would want to spend that much money on a pet snake. My fiance's old friend had a snake once and during it's feeding time, the snake bit him. I'm not saying that all snakes will do that but you never know and this snake was pretty tame. All I can think of as for getting money is maybe doing some babysitting, maybe have a garage sale with your folks?, pet sitting, return in soda cans (if your place recycles for cash), could do some yard work, or you could borrow from your parents and pay them back whenever you can. Good luck to you!
Date: 8/8/2004 3:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 8278    thats true, the cages and food cost quite a bit! but i know how you feel...i love snakes. maybe you could babysit for neighborhood people (friends etc) or maybe your parents will help out and give you extra chores around the house to earn the money (thats what i do when my son feels he needs something really bad LOL) best of luck
Date: 8/8/2004 3:33:00 PM  From Authorid: 3835    It may be a desire to have the snake, but do you realize the cost of raising one to remain healthy?? A vet bill is outrageous for a snake due to the risks involved. I have owned 4 of them, and used to breed them along with my scorpions, snakes are costly to maintain properly.
Date: 8/8/2004 3:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 3835    *Meaning I breed snakes and scorpions separately, Lol... not the snake and the scorpion together. (-:
Date: 8/8/2004 3:41:00 PM  From Authorid: 62476    mow lawns. Work at musikfest. Work at lost river caverns. Many things lol
Date: 8/8/2004 3:42:00 PM  From Authorid: 62476    I'll also ship you 150 dollars once I earn it.
Date: 8/8/2004 4:04:00 PM  From Authorid: 36779    Get a cat... :P
Date: 8/8/2004 4:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 62476    that might work also but I think she might already have a cat
Date: 8/8/2004 4:57:00 PM  From Authorid: 7574    Dunno...I kind of have the same problem. I'm old enough to work, but I don't want to. I don't know what I want to buy either, but I want to buy something. I don't know much, do I?
Date: 8/8/2004 5:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 17081    EBay, cut grass, babysit, borrow, sell some things in the classified ads, clean windows or houses,
Date: 8/8/2004 6:13:00 PM  From Authorid: 12072    Eeeeeewwwwwwwwwwww, you want a snake??? lol. Wish I could help ya with some ideas, but I have no clue. Just keep in mind what everyone else has mentioned about upkeep--getting it will be the easy part, keeping it will be the hard part. Good luck!! *hugs* ~Becky
Date: 8/9/2004 8:55:00 AM  From Authorid: 52155    I'd go with the pirate idea.
Date: 8/9/2004 9:38:00 AM  From Authorid: 27741    I have a snake, they make really good pets. They don't need much attention (but they are cute when they rub through your hair) and you get to feed them dead mice (blow-drying them to defrost them is so funny, the little dead micies get all sorts of groovy hairstyles!)
Date: 8/9/2004 10:53:00 AM  From Authorid: 4144    LOL at 27741!! why freeze them? wouldn't it be more natural to drop a live one in? that's what my science teacher always did!!
