STOP! dont apply for a credit card, particlularly from Bank of America! They will own you! the interest rises, and you pay more, and more money. It does not matter if you pay your bills, they want more. Credit card companies are thugs, and muggers with offices. I am pleading with you use cash for purchases the cards are evil!! This is a warning from someone who is doomed in a mountain slid of debt.

Date: 7/25/2004 1:31:00 PM  From Authorid: 46527    I'm sorry that you are stuck in debt. Credit cards are not a good idea, they just encourage a person to spend when they don't have the cash available. Used carefully they can be ok but always pay off the WHOLE balance every month.
Date: 7/25/2004 1:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 3835    I had a credit card once, and it took me a long time to pay it off from the interest they charge as well.. I have never owned one since and pay for all things with cash, or by using my debit card from my bank as I have to have that money available right now for that purchase. Good advice. I am glad to be out of that puddle of mud, Lol.. it was becoming a tar pit and hard to walk around in after a little while. Feels good to have clean feet again (-:

Date: 7/25/2004 9:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 52155    If you respect that card and what it can do, and are careful with them, they can be very useful for building up a good credit rating that will help you get better deals on cars, homes, etc. But you must be carfeul with them, and be sure not to over spend your means. I've got three main credit cards, have two paid off, and the other one has a rather low credit limit, and I like it just fine that way. Seems to me that the credit cards aren't your problem, but maybe your spending habits are...
