When you lay upon your pillow at night,
Do you think if we were wrong or right?

We had it all within our sight,
Maybe we should have continued to fight?

Even now as time goes past, it is you I think of both day and night,
Is this the way it's to be, is this the summation of our plight?

I just cant let go, try as I might
Always hoping your love will return to my sight.

As each days closes and merges to night,
I lay and I wonder is all lost from sight.

Is it really over or will we someday reunite?
How can we surrender and let go of what is so right?

I lay through the night till dawn brings the light,
To start each day anew always wishing you were in sight.

To go back to the past and be able to just rewrite,
To start once again and erase all the blight.

But here I am and here I will just sit tight,
but you're love is in me, that I will always hold tight.
Hoping that somewhere, somehow, someday to regain your delight.
