I live in an apartment that is only a few years old and I've lived there for over a year now. Never have I experienced any ghostly things there.
Today I was reading a book, I was home alone, and the light started flickering. I thought nothing of it and continued to read and it stopped. A few minutes later, it was at it again. Still didn't think it was that strange.
I continued to read when all of a sudden, out of the blue, I was suddenly freezing and had goosebumps all up and down my arms. This was weird considering my apartment is always extremely hot this time of year with no air conditioning.
After this, I heard the unmistakable sound of my bathroom door moving, creaking as it does... and then I heard footsteps in the hall. I was feeling a little bit strange then, so I got up to check it out but there was no one in my apartment.
As I continued to read I swear the walls must have been breathing. They seemed like they were creaking and groaning everywhere... and then everything stopped.
