Something that really annoys me...

Is people always berating our president for his choices! Sure, you may disagree with what he says or does, but don't pretend to know better than him, becuz you ARE NOT PRESIDENT! It is a LOT of work to be president of the richest country in the whole world, and EVERYONE makes mistakes! If you think you can do better, than run for president! Until then, don't constantly say "Oh he's making the country worse" or "He can't do anything". I want to see you try and do as well as he has been! It doesn't matter who's president I mean this for ALL of our presidents! I bet some of you would have had a problem with George Washington, had you been there. But they're just regular humans and cannot run a country without making mistakes! Aren't some of you a little ashamed about your behavior? I would be.

I don't necessarily mean anyone at USM I just mean in general. What do you guys think?

Date: 7/22/2004 4:01:00 PM  From Authorid: 33925    One of the great rights of being an American..They CAN say what they please about their President without fear of reprisal..Freedom of Speech honey..Its in the constitution for a reason...Oh and I am Canadian by the way, and I dont like George Bush either.
Date: 7/22/2004 4:02:00 PM  From Authorid: 30229    As long as I pay taxes, and I vote, I can berate anyone I choose... it is called FREEDOM OF SPEECH. I can say that I dont like Bush, I can say I feel like he is one of the most dangerous presidents we have EVER had, I can say that with I do not agree with MOST of his decisions, because I PAY weekly and then YEARLY for that privilage... but to be perfectly honest here, anyone who is an American Citizen can voice their opinions, whether they work and pay taxes or whether they stay home on welfare, they have just as much a right of freedom of speech that anyone does... I am not in the least ashamed of my points of view...
Date: 7/22/2004 4:04:00 PM  From Authorid: 36704    I think they're entitled to their opinion but it is annoying when all they do is complain but have no better solutions to offer themselves.
Date: 7/22/2004 4:05:00 PM  From Authorid: 8278    I have to agree with lady luck on this one. Gotta love the freedom of speech =) although I am not a hugh fan of George Bush, I tend to keep my comments to myself. My mother and brother are constantly arguing about politics and it made me tired of the topic...they can go on about it for HOURS LOL
Date: 7/22/2004 4:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 45630    I believe that if you can't come up with a better solution then shut up. I can't stand people who are negative, I mean I can't stand the Prime Minister of Australia John Howard but at least I offer solutions that are feasable and make sense. I hate people who just scream get rid of him when they can't think of anything to fix a problem.
Date: 7/22/2004 4:09:00 PM  From Authorid: 62752    wahooo GAIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! u go!! i am so happy u said that i was just about to, and as far as his job!! he cheated and one so i will never RESPECT him and i can say he is about the only man on this planet i hate, if something happend to him it wouldnt bother me one bit, i dont get paid 400 thousand dollars a year to infest in halliburton and make millions and millions of dollars and sit on my butt on vaction, i pay my taxes as well and i will say what i want thank u kk
Date: 7/22/2004 4:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 62752    as far as soultions go, what am i to do i have wrote the congress and everything else u can think of, and another thing is i believe if u are if age to vote and u dont, u have no right to say anything i will never ever vote for bush never did i vote and that is another right as americans we have, so that is one thing that ticks me off ppl who dont vote like to say something, that erks the heck out of me
Date: 7/22/2004 4:27:00 PM  From Authorid: 62752    oops invest* not infest LOL
Date: 7/22/2004 4:29:00 PM  From Authorid: 40979    I agree w/ what you're saying . I mean , yeah I don't really like him or the fact thathe was elected ... But oh well , he is president and I can't change that and no matter how much I witch about it , it won't change the fact he is there ...
Date: 7/22/2004 4:36:00 PM  From Authorid: 36704    "and make millions and millions of dollars and sit on my butt on vaction" Good, neither does the president of the United States, the job doesn't allow for that and that's why most presidents age rapidly during their years in office.
Date: 7/22/2004 4:40:00 PM  From Authorid: 33401    I don't like Bush, because he really isn't the president Gore is. Also Bush is taking our American rights away. I only sympathize his idiotness.:P once I'm able to vote I'll make sure creeps like him will never get into office. Love,
Date: 7/22/2004 4:45:00 PM  From Authorid: 62801    I think Bush is just alright but you know what I don't like? I don't like the fact that a movie full of lies and left-wing propaganda like Fahrenheit 911 can be perceived as truth by so many people. It just runs Bush into the ground and is nothing but lies and half-truths. Errr....
Date: 7/22/2004 5:51:00 PM  From Authorid: 35160    agrees whole heartedly with gail. you go girl, you said what i feel.
Date: 7/22/2004 6:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 62752    base look into his partnership with halliburton, him and his daddy have made millions together :-)
Date: 7/22/2004 6:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 62752    what kind of pres, lets the bin ladens leave the untied states when we knew osama was behind it, oh wait i know because the bin ladens and the alkida have a TRILLION dollars in our banks, yes a TRILLION, so i dont care if ppl like him or not
Date: 7/22/2004 6:16:00 PM  From Authorid: 36704    What kind of president lets Osama Bin Laden walk when he's been captured by another country when he's already wanted for bombings like Clinton did? We wouldn't need to look for Osama if Clinton hadn't of let him walk more than once. Bush didn't let the Bin Laden's fly out of the country, the clearance for that never made it that high, and they were questioned by the fbi before they were allowed to leave on a flight. The Bin Laden's are always under surveillance while in the US it's not like the FBI doesn't know what they're up to.
Date: 7/22/2004 6:17:00 PM  From Authorid: 36704    and last time I checked it wasn't illegal in this country to be rich or make money, show me what Bush Sr. and Jr. have done that is illegal
Date: 7/22/2004 7:19:00 PM  From Authorid: 24319    I see what you are saying and it does get a bit annoying. But, like everyone said, they do have the right to freedom of speech. So, when anyone who is talking to me goes on a "I hate Bush" rampage, I use my freedom of speech and tell them to tell it to someone who cares what they think.
Date: 7/22/2004 9:04:00 PM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62220    Oh I know you have the freedom of speech. That's not the point. The point is, some ppl DON'T offer better solutions, and I don't agree that you pay taxes so you earn that privilege. In my opinion, that's just an excuse to be mean when you can't do any better. You pay taxes for all sorts of things, not to berate the president. I don't see THAT anywhere in the constitution OR tax papers. If it does say, pay x amount to berate the president, then by all means, I apologize. But it doesn't, that's just an excuse to think you're right. And I'm not talking about Bush only, even tho he's a good president. I'm talking about all political figures. Run for candidate if you can do better. It just annoys me when ppl think they know so much, well, don't. But I'm not saying you can't have your opinion, cuz obviously I do. It's not about free speech.
Date: 7/22/2004 9:22:00 PM  From Authorid: 28190    I would run for President, but Im a woman hehe.. I dont like Bush, and I don't make it a secret, I however do not use it as a crutch in any discussions about politics. I try to look at everything objectively, but when ya hear a president lie as much as he does, it skews his character. I don't believe I get annoying with it, but hey, that can work both ways. Posts like these can be annoying to those with opposing views, thing is though, you have as much a right to say what you want as the next person. So have at it and always try to keep an open mind, we dont know all the facts to everything and probably never will *hugs*
Date: 7/22/2004 10:00:00 PM  From Authorid: 53157    I agree with gail and lady luck. We have freedom of speech. And ya it is his choices but his choices affect all of us americans. And if we dont like it we should speak up about it because it is us who make up this country and made it what it is today.
Date: 7/23/2004 12:28:00 AM  From Authorid: 62752    lol they didnt question the bin ladins for 2 months and yes they did Fly them out of the us, but it isnt worth fighting over i know what i know and i know some ppl can see someone killed in front of there face and will say it didnt happen, ill be shocked if he wins this election KK
Date: 7/23/2004 12:41:00 AM  From Authorid: 62752    and bush lied so he could go to war, so he would make money with haliburton, who the heck makes up a lie for a war?!?! and then go in there with no way out? i think he is the biggest hungry for money moron who has ever stepped foot in office, KK and i remember clinton lying about having relations with someone, not lying to become a millionare
Date: 7/23/2004 1:10:00 AM  From Authorid: 26452    I don't feel ashamed one bit, I have opinions, and I'm not afraid to tell you them. I can't stand Bush, and I will gladly tell anyone so. If you don't like it, well then don't listen to me
Date: 7/23/2004 1:14:00 AM  From Authorid: 36704    You know nothing or you would know that they were interviewed before they left the country and Richard Clarke was the person who gave the approval for them to leave and yes Michael Moore knew it was Richard Clarke who approved it and that they were interviewed before they left because Richard Clarke himself testified to that and gave interviews in which he also stated those facts, Moore just left that little tidbit out of his movie because it didn't fit with the theme. As for Bush lied so he could go to war, where did he lie? He didn't lie about Iraq's WMD because not one country refutes the fact that Iraq at one time had weapons of mass destruction and there were still weapons unaccounted for. That's not disputable go read the UN transcripts. The countries against going to war wanted to give Saddam more time to show the weapons were destroyed which he never did, or give the UN inspectors more time to find them, but Iraq having them was never in dispute. If you're talking about Bush lying about Iraq having ties to terrorists, Iraq did, they offered terrorists a safe haven in their country where they could live freely and they had other ties. They may not have had ties to Al Queda but they had ties to terrorists. But you say Bush lied to go to war to make money, it's your assertion, what's your proof, because I'd really like to see this proof that you have that makes you so sure, and I'm assuming you have it, you must have documents or evidence of some kind since you know Bush lied just to make money. And which is it, is Bush a moron or a genius who deceived the entire country?
Date: 7/23/2004 1:16:00 AM  From Authorid: 36704    And you're hung up on the fact that the family of Osama was allowed to leave the country but it's no big deal that Clinton let Osama himself walk.
Date: 7/23/2004 1:18:00 AM  From Authorid: 36704    And if you need proof that Richard Clarke stated those things I'll give you two sources, one he stated them during the 911 hearing and two in an interview with vanity fair magazine.
Date: 7/23/2004 1:33:00 AM  From Authorid: 62752    base u sure like to jump on me, i wanna know have u seen fer 9/11? he shows all the facts, and if u believe everything bush says well there ya go, when everyone including him said they had "PROOF" of weapons of mass distruction, oh wait they came out and proved they didnt another lie to bush and his "friends" like i said to everyone i could care less if ppl think bush is perfect i cant stand the man and i need not to fight with anyone forever to change my mind KK
Date: 7/23/2004 1:35:00 AM  From Authorid: 62752    oh my god, are u the only one on the planet that doesnt know cheney used to a big shot in haliburton and bush's daddy was in that also? and he is now in that lmao u look around base u will find it i promise im not gonna sit here and do research for ya, i could care less who believes what i have no reason to lie about bush he makes himself look like a moron just fine on his own the retard thats says and i quote "shame me once shame on u..shame on u" ohhhh k
Date: 7/23/2004 1:40:00 AM  From Authorid: 62752    while ur looking look up dick cheney with enron too :-)
Date: 7/23/2004 2:21:00 AM  From Authorid: 36704    Wow all those thousands of documents that the UN weapons inspectors collected and the 10,000 page dossier that Iraq submitted to the UN on how they acquired their weapons of mass destruction and all the countries who also submitted dossiers on what they gave Iraq all don't exist because Kristen saw a movie. That's crazy and all this time I thought all those meetings of the UN were real but I was deceived because a movie says so. Cheney has ties to Clinton and the Clinton Administration had ties to Enron, closer ties than the Bush administration. And Haliburton and Brown and Root both had government contracts under the Clinton Administration. Enron donated 100,000 to Clinton's re-election fund, it's single largest donation ever but that wouldn't matter either, nothing matters because you've seen a movie and now you know it all.
Date: 7/23/2004 3:29:00 AM  From Authorid: 30229    Sorry Author... make YOUR own excuses, I am not making an excuse, I am speaking FACT. I am an American, I have FREEDOM of Speech, whether you like that or not. Your berating us is worse than our berating the way our Gov't is being operated right now. I CAN speak out, I CAN say what I want politically because I am an American,... YOU have NO right to try to take MY rights away. And you also went way off the topic of this post. But no matter... I am who I am, and I will say what I please, to whomever I please because I have that RIGHT. I am trying very hard to be nice here, because I see you are not yet 16 years old and have a LOT of life experiences to go through yet.. .. Maybe someday you can understand MY words. Good Luck to ya!!
Date: 7/23/2004 9:12:00 AM  ( Admin-DNL )   I really, really agree with Gail. And I love Lady Luck's first comment. I think it is great we can have the freedom to choose our president. If we were in another country badmouthing the leader we could have our heads chopped off.
Date: 7/23/2004 11:32:00 AM  ( From Author ) From Authorid: 62220    "YOU have NO right to try to take MY rights away. And you also went way off the topic of this post. But no matter... I am who I am, and I will say what I please, to whomever I please because I have that RIGHT."

Maybe you ppl should actually read what I say, I said this ISN'T about free speech! Can you guys hear me? That's NOT what this is about! And where did I go off topic? Saying all this about free speech is off topic, becuz that isn't what it's about. I'm not taking your rights away; I said you can have your opinions. I just don't think it's right to diss the president when he is doing his best! How do you know what he does everyday, how much he has to do? You don't! You're not in office! So that experience thing doesn't count, becuz you're still not in office and neither am I. Just don't ASSUME, is all I'm saying. Have free speech! I'm using my right! But I'm not making fun of the preisdent for his mistakes becuz I know I couldn't last to another election like he has.
Special thanks to Base for being on my side

Date: 7/23/2004 1:03:00 PM  From Authorid: 36704    Author you just need to see Farenheit 9/11 and then you can have all the answers and know everything about the last four years in less than two hours. Not only that I hear that you leave the theater with superhuman powers and X ray vision all for only $8.00. The only downside is, it doesn't increase people's intelligence or their spelling and grammar
Date: 7/23/2004 1:53:00 PM  From Authorid: 62752    omg base u didnt see them catch colin powel in the lie on cnn! oh guess that isnt true because Fox news didnt report that where bush's cousin runs it, he came out and said there were no weapons of mass distruction, but if u wanna believe in this lying pres, u go right ahead
Date: 7/23/2004 2:01:00 PM  From Authorid: 62752    base lmao i guess u didnt see it, and u know alot of what i said wasnt in the movie but the halliburton stuff was i think its funny how this movie has private convo's with bush him self. his own words but micheal moore is lying i guess he changed his words yeah right whatever u will believe what u want and i know what i know and again i state i could care less who likes bush only way he will win this election if he cheats again
Date: 7/23/2004 2:06:00 PM  From Authorid: 36704    Correction, the movie has excerts of Bush's speeches and conversations taken out of context as with many others in the movie, if you wanna believe a propaganda filled movie that's your right.
Date: 7/23/2004 4:15:00 PM  From Authorid: 30229    By YOU telling ME not to diss anyone, you are violating MY freedom of speech, so therefore this post IS about freedom of speech no matter how much you want to protest, lol
Date: 7/23/2004 5:14:00 PM  From Authorid: 62752    out of content? how can a whole conversation coming out of that mans mouth be whatever no since in arguing with u base ur always right
Date: 7/23/2004 6:11:00 PM  From Authorid: 4144    i think i agree with you 100%! i get so sick of bush bashing. he won the election so that means something. just imagine 9-11 if gore had won! refresh my memory.......didn't bush win tennessee? al gore is from tennessee? (so am I) so if your own state don't vote for you......... i say leave bush alone. i agree with you on people who gripe should try doing his job. i know i couldn't do it.
Date: 7/23/2004 11:08:00 PM  From Authorid: 30229    Bush CHOSE to be in the public eye, so he deserves everything he gets, including criticism. And that gives anyone who so desires the RIGHT to criticise... lol.
Date: 7/24/2004 1:28:00 AM  From Authorid: 62752    yeah well i lived in FL 20 years he didnt win FL his brother jeb helped that along, how the heck can a man win the popular vote and not the pres election? hmmm i wonder, after the fact they found all the "missing" votes, doesnt matter if he took tenn or not gore won not bush
Date: 7/24/2004 10:07:00 AM  From Authorid: 30229    Yeah, KK... Florida really made a mockery of our election system!!! And ... DUHHHHH, it just HAPPENED that his brother was governor!! Spare me, LOL
