THE ANCHOR IN TUG-O-WAR!

When I was in 8th grade in middle school, we were having graduation games. Basically a whole day of games and other fun stuff for the graduating 8th graders... Well we were all playing tug-o-war in the field and it was boys against girls. Nobody would volunteer to be the anchor so we picked numbers. Of course mine was the closest... Now I knew this was going to be a disaster already and so did everyone else because I am skinny and only weighed about 100 pounds, pretty small compaired to most 8th graders. Everyone knew we were going to lose against the boys anyway so we just decided to have fun with it. The war started and already the boys pulled so hard we went flying forward about 3 feet. I turned the opposite way and started to walk away from the boys direction to get more pull. No use, I was being dragged hard and fast! I tried to dig my fingernails into the dirt but the rope still pulled around my waist as I was being dragged backward on hands and feet position. I guess everyone thought it looked pretty funny because the kids who weren't playing were laughing their heads off. That wasn't the bad part. After about a minute of being dragged the rope around my waist was being pulled off along with my P.E shorts... AHHHH it was awefull!!! But I can't help but laugh histarically evertime my friends describe how it looked!
