But in all seriousness, forget what you learnt at high school. College is about sucking up to the lecturers by writing about whatever they believe in. It makes it harder to get good grades to argue against what they are saying. |

You are going to find out clothes are not as important as they were in high school. With all of the late night studying, partying, etc., you'll just be happy if you can roll out of bed and get to class with your pajama bottoms, a hoodie, and house slippers on. That is, if you register for morning classes. lol. Just take some things that will remind you of home, plus the things you have already mentioned...you'll be fine. |

oh noo kidding KV...i have found it best to not go against some of the dumb radical ideas of some of my professors. You choose to challenge them, and you are risking failing the course. I expereienced this once, and I will never do it again. I just do the work that gets me a good grade and I am outta there in a semester. |

When I went to college, I brought a few boxes of crap, but when I left, it took me a few trips to bring stuff home for the summer. Anyway, if there isn't a fridge in your dorm, you might want one. I was on the 20th floor of my dorm and I didn't trust drinking the water from the tap, and I didn't want to have to keep running for bottled water and soda, so I had a fridge. You might want a television, a fan, and toiletries. Maybe cleaning supplies, too, because dorms can get kinda messy. I kept some window-cleaner, wood polish, fabreze, and some paper-toweling. I don't know, I had a bunch of crap in my dorm. LOL! And, I'd also make sure to bring an eggshell pad for your bed, because you never know how uncomfortable those beds might be. Thankfully, my dorm bed was soooo comfortable. More comfortable than my one at home. I was tempted to steal the mattress. |

Thanks for your replies everyone! LOL Kurt, hun, I'm only 18 I'm not allowed to purchase alcohol... Yes Blade of the Samurai I'm scared...I'm goin to be five hours away from my brothers and the rest of my family... I haven't been that far a way from them for more than about a week. I'm definately taking my scrap book, and photo albums. An Gia, when I said clothes I meant my t-shirts and jeans.. I never really cared much about clothes in highschool as long as they were clean. I'll that in mind about the professors too. Thanks again for all of your replies! ~~WP |

I would bring money, everything that you use everyday, and some stuff you cant live with out. Other than that I would say it depends on the college. *hugs* |
