What's Your Fantasy Vacation?

  Author:  6867  Category:(Discussion) Created:(7/20/2004 7:35:00 PM)

Mine would be to take a cross country road trip. I really haven't been able to see alot of this country, and I would like to take my time visiting different cities and small towns across the U.S. Maybe after that I could think about a nice carribean vacation. So, if time and money were no object...what would be the ultimate vacation for you?

Love,

GIA

Date: 7/20/2004 8:34:00 PM  From Authorid: 62100    Definitely the Caribbean- which may not be such a fantasy as my fiance's mother lives in Jamaica so eventually we will be taking a nice trip there. (I'm thinking honeymoon maybe..) Other than that..ANY type of vacation would be sooo sweet right now, but just a fantasy at this point as I still have a month of school, and have to go to clinical orientation for my new LPN job for two days the week following my graduation, report to start training for my LPN job on the 25th of August (I graduate the 20th, and orientation is the 23rd and 24th..ALL DAY both days)and then I begin my Fall classes to start working on my RN on the 28th of August (afternoon classes and will be working nights!!) So, yeah, no vacation for me anytime soon!!

Date: 7/21/2004 12:52:00 AM  From Authorid: 19460    My fantasy vacation is to take my kids to NY to see a Yankees baseball game. We have been talking about saving our income tax refund next year so we can take the kids. Our family are very big fans of the Yankees, and with us being in Georgia, it would be a somewhat expensive trip. I want the kids to be able to meet some of the players and get autographs. My oldest son who is 11 has aspirations of playing for the Yankees someday. He wants to go to a game and get Matsui to sign a baseball card for him in Japanese charaters as well as English. I know this would make my kids' millineum! LOL
Date: 7/21/2004 12:53:00 AM  From Authorid: 19460    I forgot to add that another dream vacation of mine would be to go to Ireland. My Grandma was Irish, but born here in the states and I always wanted to go and see where our people came from. Also from what I seen on TV and stuff it is just a beautiful place!
Date: 7/21/2004 1:15:00 AM  From Authorid: 13546    Hmm... I'd say a nice trip over to Ireland.. to see all the sights, and visit all the haunted locations over there.. it would be quite a trip.. I have always wanted to go there...
Date: 7/21/2004 1:20:00 AM  From Authorid: 11348    A cruise to Europe where I'd tour alllll the best cities. Then another cruise back to some island with crystal clear lagoon type water. I'd love that. Someday.....
Date: 7/21/2004 3:58:00 AM  From Authorid: 53558    The Caribbean *Sighs*, but it is only a pipe dream..(",)..

Date: 7/21/2004 5:03:00 AM  From Authorid: 38406    Somewheres were I can sleep without having to worry about getting up for school or work. A carribean vacation sounds nice.
Date: 7/21/2004 6:02:00 AM  From Authorid: 24856    My fantasy vacation would be around the world in 180 days.....I would love to backpack my way wherever possible to meet the people and not the fall into the traps that are only there to "make money".
Date: 7/21/2004 6:59:00 AM  From Authorid: 49763    A bunch of friends aand family anywhere that doesn't have extreme weather conditions. ~~
Date: 7/21/2004 7:19:00 AM  From Authorid: 57726    Middle of Alaska wearing T--shirt and shorts lol... Where I live we extreme summers and extreme winters, and right now we're suffering the extreme heat and humidity of the summer, and Alaska sounds REALLY good right about now
Date: 7/21/2004 8:07:00 AM  From Authorid: 13119    Venice during the festival, riding in the gondala's with the one I love.
Date: 7/21/2004 6:10:00 PM  From Authorid: 62100    LOL You got that right Gia...the money will be a fantastic thing- not my main motivation, but a very nice perk nonetheless. I forgot to add that I also have NCLEX review class (the review for the boards) from Aug 31- Sept. 2 all day long as well. Fortunately my work place has agreed to give me those 3 days off with pay (they consider it an educational inservice as they request for us to take our boards within 3 monthes of our start date). The bad thing is the review cuts into my first two days of my Western Civ course- but I'm hoping that I can meet with the professor and explain my situation and get the syllabus and be able to hand in the homework..it will be the same night when I hand it in as AFTER the review classes I still have to go out to the campus for my Chemistry class..but I can get to the campus within 10 minutes after the Western Civ class ends...so yeah- I kinda put myself into a hard spot schedule wise...but professors are usually understanding of things like that...Good luck to you when your classes start..those year long programs are VERY intense, but very worth it.
Date: 7/23/2004 6:18:00 PM  From Authorid: 4144    an island. george strait and nothing on but the radio!!! any questions?!
